The Chart Don't Lie!

Sometimes, it's interesting to look at the charts, and see exactly which record companies are behind the hit records. For instance, Island Def Jam just happen to have six singles in the Top 10 on Billboard's Hot 100 Singles chart. And two of them ("We Belong Together," "Gold Digger") are #1 hits.

But, let's see -- surely they have lower-charting singles, as well.

Hmmmm.

Oh, there we go. "Pon De Replay" by Rihanna is all the way down at #21. Oh, wait, that song peaked at #2.

Ah, and there at #42 is "Mr. Brightside," a former #10 hit.

What a lucky streak Island is on! A 100% hit ratio. How ever could that have happened?

The U.S. Top 10 Singles (#'s 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, 10 being Island Def Jam):

1. "Gold Digger" - Kanye West ft. Jamie Foxx
2. "Shake It Off" - Mariah Carey
3. "Photograph" - Nickelback
4. "Like You" - Bow Wow Ft. Ciara
5. ""My Humps" - The Blackeyed Peas
6. "Wake Me Up When September Ends" - Green Day
7. "Play" - David Banner
8. "Soul Survivor" - Young Jeezy Ft. Akon
9. "We Belong Together" - Mariah Carey
10. "Sugar, We're Goin' Down" - Fall Out Boy
