Mr. Brady and I hit G-A-Y on both Friday and Saturday night. We did the G-A-Y bar each night before hitting the club down the street. The bar had a nifty video jukebox which was stocked up with Stock Aitken Waterman tunes, as well as a plethora of other pop gems.

Friday night at the club, we danced for 3 hours nonstop, and DJ Andy Elvers did a full half hour set of SAW tunes.

Saturday night at G-A-Y (the club) was, of course, the big SAW Gold launch party. Every time a SAW song was played, balloons dropped from the ceiling.

At around 1:30 a.m., the performers went on. First up was Jason Donovan, who looked rather bored with being there.

He did "Any Dream Will Do" as his first song - which, incidentally, is NOT a SAW-produced song - and then followed with "Everyday (I Love You More)" and "Too Many Broken Hearts."

Next up was Sonia...

Good ol' Sonia sounded great and seemed genuinely happy to be there. She did a cover of "Hopelessly Devoted To You" (again, WTF??), and also "Listen To Your Heart" and an extended version of "You'll Never Stop Me Loving You."

But, the one who stole the show was Sinitta!

That minx did "Cross My Broken Heart," "So Macho" (not SAW) and "Toy Boy." She rocked! In one funny moment, she announced that G-A-Y promoter Jeremy Joseph didn't allow her to do a costume change backstage, so she just basically stipped off there on the stage in front of everyone and put on the, uh, outfit you see in the photo above.

Oh, and forgive the pics. They're not the best, but hey, I tried!
