The Chart Don't Lie: Mariah's Tied With Elvis

Get excited! Mimi's done nothing short of the following this week:

* Become the only artist to have two #1 singles in 2005

* Tied with Elvis Presley for having 17 #1 singles (trailing only behind The Beatles, who have 20)

* Managed to have the final #1 of the year (the new chart is technically for the week ending December 31st) with "Don't Forget About Us"

And, really, who could forget the bulging, stretched-to-the-brink diva after this year? She was everywhere: Oprah, Live 8, The American Music Awards, the looney bin... and let's not forget at #1 for a grand total of 15 weeks between this week and the 14 "We Belong Together" had at the top all summer.

You've officially had your comeback, Mimi. Now hit the road.

The U.S. Top 10:

1. "Don't Forget About Us" - Mariah Carey
2. "Run It!" - Chris Brown
3. "Grillz" - Nelly ft. Paul Wall, Ali & Gripp
4. "Laffy Taffy" - D4L
5. "Stickwitu" - Pussycat Dolls
6. "Photograph" - Nickelback
7. "Gold Digger" - Kanye West Ft. Jamie Foxx
8. "Check On It" - Beyonce ft. Slim Thug
9. "Because Of You'" - Kelly Clarkson
10. "There It Go! (The Whistle Song)'" - Juelz Santana

Wow, that's the 2nd time someone's mentioned having Mariah rubbed out on here.

Just so the cops know, I didn't have anything to do with her possible future death.

I just sat back and took it all in.
