Rob Thomas and Tom Cruise?

Okay, what rock have we been sleeping under?

Apparently the growing buzz on the internet is that not only is Rob Thomas a Scientologist, but his wife Marisol caught him in bed with Tom Cruise - hence the whole Tom Cruise/Katie Holmes instant relationship, just add water. Hey, don't shoot the messenger, kids... you can read about it here.

Or better yet, here's the tip that was sent to the blog The Supericial that started it all:

So, I work with this girl who has a family friend that works in PR in Hollywood, and she always has fun little scoops about celeb stuff. Well, if this is true, this is just ridiculous! So, the whole Tom Cruise/Katie Holmes
thing - apparently, it is, like we all thought anyway, a ridiculous PR thing. Tom Cruise was supposedly caught in bed with Rob Thomas (the lead singer of Matchbox 20) by Rob Thomas's wife, Marisol. Rob Thomas is also a Scientologist. Obviously, nobody wanted this to get out, and Marisol was going nuts threatening to expose them. I think that she might be getting paid off, but to preempt any rumors about Tom, the Scientology people as well as Tom's PR people basically recruited Katie Holmes to play this part of Tom's super-excited girlfriend, and they are just paying her a b*ttload of money. I guess they also woo'd her with promises of what this would do for her career, since she's at best a B-lister. But I guess now Marisol is so annoyed at all of the press Tom and Katie's relationship is getting, she's threatening to go public, spill the beans, and file for divorce.

You Can Take Britney Out Of The Trailer Park...

Gosh, Britney's got some new video out now. It's called "Someday (I Will Understand)", and it's a bit further down the AOL Music video playlist. Let's check it out!

0:01 - Oooh, black and white. Well, Britney's a classy girl, so that makes sense.

0:15 - Wow, Britney's laying in bed and her chin is vibrating as she hits all those powerful notes with her amazing voice.

0:46 - Now Britney's standing up and she's holding her stomach 'cause she's knocked up.

0:51 - Wow, the lyrics are something about her singing to her unborn baby. Britney's so spiritual!

0:57 - Thankfully, the computer just crashed in protest. Oh well, guess maybe we'll catch your next video, Britney!

Here's a sampling of the lyrics to her new, self-penned tune:

Someday (I Will Understand)

In God’s whole plan

And what he’s done to me

Oh but maybe someday I will breathe

And I’ll finally see

I’ll see it all in my baby

How About A Boot Up Jessica Simpson's Ass?

Oh, we don't really care about Jessica Simpson, but it's nice to see she's finally found an image now that her marriage is on the verge of breakup (according to tabloids). And that image? Pure slut!

Jessica's got a new movie coming out. Hey, having a pop music career and a movie career go hand-in-hand these days. We're excitedly awaiting the launch of her magazine and her intriguing memoirs!

Anyway, The Dukes Of Hazzard is out in a month or so, and Jessica's re-recorded her own version of "These Boots Are Made For Walkin'" with Willie Nelson's geriatric corpse grunting a few inchoherant words on the track. In the video, she gyrates her naughty ass in her denim skank shorts all over the place. Where's a crossbow when you need one?

The tune was produced by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis and is available as of today at the online iTunes Music Store. You can catch the video here. (It's currently the most downloaded video from AOL Music)

Secret Rendez-Vous?

We couldn't make this shit up if we tried, folks! American Idol's alleged contestant-fornicating judge Paula Abdul was in Sacramento today urging lawmakers to approve stronger cleanliness standards in California nail salons.

For real!

The washed-up-80s-has-been-turned-Idol-judge told members of the Senate Business, Professions and Economic Develoment Committee how she had gotten an infection while getting a manicure from a Studio City nail salon in 2004.

But here's the good part. Coincidentally, former AI contestant-turned-Paula-accuser Corey Clark got busted on Saturday in Sacramento for throwing dishes and food at his record company manager. They apparently began arguing in a hotel room and started slinging plates at each other. How totally ghetto!

Clark was cited for misdemeanor battery. There's no word yet on whether he accidentally bumped into Paula at the courthouse and she shoved her infected nail down his pants.

Bo Does Melrose

I was just driving back from seeing the disappointing George A. Romero's Land Of The Dead movie, cruising along Melrose Avenue, when none other than Bo Bice stepped into the street. It was unmistakeably him, and he was wearing one of his green hippie shirts all unbuttoned, like the one in this picture.

Meanwhile, the US might not love Bo so much, after all. on the iTunes daily download chart, his version of "Inside Your Heaven" is currently at #11, while Carrie Underwood's rendition is still holding in there at #10. Over at Amazon, however, Bo's single is at #3 and Carrie's is at #8.

Either way, hope you didn't spend all your record advance on Melrose today, Bo. Looks like you might need it in the long run.

Carrie Underwood Tops The U.S. Singles Chart

As we predicted last week, 4th season American Idol winner Carrie Underwood landed her budissy at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart this week, after a solid week of CD single sales and paid digital downloads. "Inside Your Heaven" has dethroned Mariah Carey from the top after 4 weeks.

Carrie shouldn't get too comfortable, though. Released this past Thursday, AI runner-up Bo Bice is looking to be #1 next week - with a version of the exact same song. Yes, America - ask and you shall receive. We get 2 versions of this exciting ballad. Wow!

So, when Bo tops Carrie next week, maybe they'll spawn an ugly gap-toothed hick child that can dream one day of being a contestant on American Idol. Sigh.

Paris Hilton's Goddamn Album Is Finally Coming Out!

Yes, Paris Hilton's album is supposedly being released in August. Even classier is the fact that the album is co-produced by Jane Wiedlan of The Go-Go's. Maybe Paris was trying to pull a Pink - who yanked former 4 Non Blondes minx Linda Perry out of obscurity when she had her produce cuts on her second album a few years back.

So anyway, this is what Jane had to say about about working with The Heiress: "I was so excited they offered me the job. I mean, come on, it's Paris Hilton!"

No word on whether or not the beleaguered tune "Screwed" will appear on the album. There was a much publicized fight between Paris and Haylie Duff last year over who had the rights to release the song as a single, as they both recorded a version of it.

Can't We All Just Get Along?

Apparently, Blur will not be performing at any of the upcoming Live 8 concerts, as the band members are all suing each other!

Bassist Alex James revealed to the press: "It's a shame really. I thought we might all get together again for Live 8 and try and save the world but no. I think my management and my lawyer are both having mental breakdowns."

In the meantime, Damon Albarn (Blur's lead singer) has a new album out with side project Gorillaz, and it totally rocks! I picked up a copy of Demon Days over the weekend and it's been getting heavy rotation in my car ever since.

This is the album Coldplay wish they could have made.

Lindsay Has A Meltdown Over Her Axed Song

Lindsay Lohan reportedly flew into a frenzy at the premiere of her film Herbie: Fully Loaded, and stormed out of the theater during the screening.

"I'm so %#%^#*," she screeched. Her team of handlers hurried her into a bathroom to shut the broad up. So what happened? Lindsay explained herself at a party after the movie.

"I was upset when I didn't hear my song ("First") during the race scene, where I originally thought it would be. I was like, 'Whoaaa,' because nobody stays to hear the song in the closing credits. So I ran out."

"I recorded it right before I got sick (from exhaustion) and went to the hospital. And then I shot the video for it and re-sprained my ankle. I pushed myself to get it done for the movie when I probably should have waited."

Gosh. We really feel bad about this. This kind of thing just should not be allowed to happen.

Back From The Dead: Smashing Pumpkins?

"I want my band back, and my songs, and my dreams," wrote former Smashing Pumpkins singer Billy Corgan in an ad that ran in today's Chicago Tribune and Chicago Sun Times. The ad went on to say Corgan wants to "renew and revive" the band after 4 years.

This is kinda odd timing, as Billy's solo album is hitting stores today. It's already the 6th most-downloaded album at the iTunes store as of this afternoon.

Although the band is more known for it's 1995 seminal double-disc set, Melon Collie And The Infinite Sadness, we've always been more partial to '93s Siamese Dreams. Interestingly, Corgan was reported to have erased his bandmates' parts during the sessions for Siamese Dream in favor of re-recording them on his own.

To check out a cool article which details a brief history of Smashing Pumkins, go here.

What Sick Bastard Came Up With This Trash?

No one is quite sure what's gotten into the Brits, as the best-selling single of the year so far in the UK has been Crazy Frog's "Axel F" - which is essentially a ringtone running rampant at the top of their charts for the past 4 weeks. To watch the video and see Crazy Frog in all his anatomically correct glory, click here.

As previously reported, Crazy Frog has kept the likes of Coldplay and, more recently, U2, stuck at #2 with their latest singles. The song is like crack over there, and people in the UK are buying it like crazy.

"Axel F" is creeping into the US - it's now available for download from the iTunes store.

Duff Luck

Okay, more Hilary Duff for ya, because as was pointed out, the teen vixen has some musical gems on the way! Most Wanted, her "greatest hits" (??? after only 2 albums ????) is due August 16th. It'll include 4 new songs - 3 of which were written and produced by Good Charlotte's Joel and Benji Madden. Yee-haw!

Now, Duff is rumored to be banging Joel Madden, so that sort of makes sense. Here's what she had to say at a recent press junket while promoting her dismal flop The Perfect Man:

"[These songs are] a totally different sound. The first one we're going to release is very dancey, kind of pop not '80s, but kind of with that in it, so it's very fun. Another is more techno, like DJ Sammy almost, and the third one is a pop-punk song, more like [Good Charlotte's] music."

Yes, Hilary, because when punks yearn for new music, they'll turn to you. And did she just namedrop DJ Sammy? Like, OMG.

Tough Times For Duff

Hilary Duff's latest movie, The Perfect Man, tanked at the box office this weekend, making a thoroughly disappointing $5 million. It was the Duffster's second flop in a row, following last fall's Raise Your Voice - and actually, it was the third, if we're counting her last album which failed to yield one hit single.

Remember when Dufflet had a couple major hits with "So Yesterday" and "Come Clean?" Was it really only 2 years ago? What went wrong? Maybe it was all the bad press of her war with Lindsay Lohan - another "actress-turned-singer" whose album didn't have any hits off it.

Maybe these hookerz should just give it up and join The Pussycat Dolls already, and try their hand at sliding down stripper poles in their nighties.

The 411 On "Calling Out My Name"

Okay, so here's the "official" word, from two sources, on Nicki French's upcoming single release for "Calling Out My Name."

This was posted on her official website, but Gary at Energise Records:

Yes it's true the US have had copies of the record before you guys in the UK, this is because we are trying to get radio and TV spots for our Nicki before the release of the single in the UK.

This is not the case in the US, but as "I Surrender" has now just peaked over there we wanted to get a new song out to them ASAP. Vocal dance music is only just coming back into fashion in the US and we want NIcki to be at the forefront of the revolution.

As for the dispute about who did this song first, here's some info from some management website, TMC Music Group, that's a bit out of date:

A further track, one of our original songs called "Calling Out My Name" (which has already been Top 10 in Europe for girl-band Hi-5) is due on March 21st on our Triad Records label (through Pinnacle).

Kylie Speaks

This statement has been up on Kylie's website for a few days now, but I thought I'd post parts of it anyway:

"Please don't believe everything you have read as rumors of my condition and treatments are rife and generally incorrect.

"Unfortunately it still seems that the truth doesn't get in the way of a story ... the repainting of my hospital room pink ... imported English body guards ... more imagined boyfriends ... diverted ambulances ... an 'entire hospital wing' for 'my entourage' and other equally ridiculous stories.

"I am getting through this one step at a time and your messages of love and support have been greatly appreciated.

"Rest assured I am being well looked after, though it will be a long road ahead.

"I've been informed that since my diagnosis, thousands of women have become more aware than ever of the risk of breast cancer.

"Being 'breast aware' plays a major role in early detection, so I was especially pleased to hear that younger women in particular are being more proactive with breast examination and talking to their doctors.

"I have been overwhelmed by your show of generosity and understanding. Just what the doctor(s) ordered."

Inside Our Hell

Oh, boy! Get yer cowboy hats on, kids! America's latest pop skank Carrie Underwood whipped her debut single onto shelves this past Tuesday, and it's already at the top of the iTunes daily download chart. Look for "Inside Your Heaven" to go straight in at #1 on the US singles chart next week. Sorry, Mariah, but your 4-week reign with "We Belong Together" is coming to a halt.

When you think of the American Idol winners, you automatically assume they're going to put out crappy songs. (This was true with Kelly Clarkson at the onset - who knew she'd ditch her AI contract and get good?) Carrie is no exception, as this song - being the tune she won the title with - is a completely insipid, joyless ballad.

And did this bitch use her high school yearbook photo for the single sleeve artwork or what? Where are the laser beams in the background?

What a tacky hick.

*Sigh* Yes, We Bought It

Judging by the sticker on the new Backstreet Boys album released this past Tuesday, "Just Want You To Know" will be the next single - and it sounds exactly like Kelly Clarkson's "Since U Been Gone!" This isn't so surprising since both songs were written and produced by Max Martin and Lukasz "Dr. Luke" Gottwald.

Max and Lukasz also produced the song "Climbing The Walls," while Max and Rami wrote and produced "I Still..." and wrote "Siberia." "Climbing The Walls" sounds like classic Backstreet Boys, ala "As Long As You Love Me" and "Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely." The other two by Max are kinda boring.

The title track was produced by Mark Taylor of the Metro production team. Don't get excited, as it's a ballad - and a total snooze.

Coldplay Takes Over The Globe

Love 'em or hate 'em, Coldplay are #1 worldwide with their new album X&Y. The record has received mixed reviews, but that's not stopping it from flying off the shelves.

In the US, sales reached 737,000 in the first week of release, which makes it the biggest first week for a rock artist in 2005. The only other album with a better first week this year has been 50 Cent, whose The Massacre sold 1.1 million copies in March. How trashy.

In the UK, first week sales of X&Y ended up at 464,471 - making it the second best first week there ever (the first being Oasis in 1997 with Be Here Now).

Canada's sales of the album in the first week were 105.000 copies, making X&Y the country's top debut of the year.

Nicki French Single Streets Early In The U.S.

Mysteriously, Nicki French's new UK single, "Calling Out My Name," has shown up at the Los Angeles-based online music store Perfect Beat. Click on the link above to order your copy while they have it in stock!

According to Amazon UK, the single isn't set to be released until June 25th. HMV has it slated for a July 11th release. Either way, that's still weeks off from now. In their weekly e-mail newsletter, here's what Perfect Beat had to say:

** Nicki French - Calling Out My Name (Supposedly bumped til the middle of July, don't ask how we got it early!)

We ran out today and bought our copy at the store. We recommend the "Video Mix." The single is produced by Mark Smith, aka "Saint," and is a Hi-NRG stomper that's refreshingly not a cover!

Wasn't He Supposed To Go Away?

Correct us if we're wrong, but wasn't George Michael whining to the press 6 months ago about retiring and getting out of the public eye and all that happy jazz? Didn't he promise?

Well, according to this, he's doing what all pop stars do when they've hit the wall -- recording a duets album. Since he's already tackled the other most useless genre of record-making - an album of covers - why the hell not do a duets album, right?

But, just to prove to the world that he really doesn't want any attention, George is now writing a column for The Advocate. This latest of his rants of wisdom urges gays to embrace religion.

George, we liked you better when you were clad in leather and trying to convince the world you were banging Asian supermodels. Now fuck off.

Bright Eyes Can Kiss My Ass

Last night there was a tsunami warning for the entire west coast, due to an earthquake a few miles off San Francisco.

In the meantime, The Duke and I went to see The Faint and Bright Eyes at the Grand Olympic Auditorium. The Faint, who I've seen before in concert, were great! As The Duke said at one point, I can't believe they're not bigger than they are.

On the other hand, Bright Eyes - or more specifically, singer Conor Oberst - was exactly as I expected; wanky, pretentious and arrogant. That freak basically makes emo music disguised as "important," critical-darling dither. His voice alone makes me want to pull my eyeballs out with steak tongs.

He had to have The Faint back him up on stage because, well, he sucks. And then there were the 15-year old girls all around us who kept screaming for Conor's love. At one point, some tween screeched, "You make me want to come!" Hot. Even 17-year old indie queen boys were yelping, "Conor, I love you!" Vomit.

This apparently was the last show before they head off to Europe. Therefore, we were treated to some drab ending to the concert where the band created a wall of feedback, smashed their instruments and posed dramatically while Conor froze on his knees atop a keyboard stand like a fragile child. I would have preferred the tsunami.

Gay Shame

This weekend was Gay Pride here in L.A. On Sunday, So Pretty and I (pictured right, at Starbucks in West Hollywood) went with a co-worker to see Paris Hilton and her mom Trashy... er... Kathy, in the parade. We actually got our picture taken with them, but have yet to track down the people who are supposedly getting us the picture.

So Pretty brought his camera, though, and not only did we trot alongside Paris and get several pictures of her, but he snapped one of '80s starlet E.G. Daily, as well!

Coincidentally, both Paris and E.G. star in the upcoming film National Lampoon's Pledge This!. That one sounds really classy. Let's hope it does better at the box office than House Of Wax.

Anyway, here are the photos from Gay Pride here in L.A. this past weekend.

Sister's Doin' It For Herself

Surprisingly, Daniel Bedingfield's sister, Natasha, will get a U.S. release of her debut CD, Unwritten. The disc comes out here on July 19th via Sony.

Easily one of the biggest pop successes in the UK last year, Unwritten spawned 4 hits - including "These Words," which went to #1. Unfortunately, the same can't be said for brother Daniel. Despite a huge debut album that even saw "Gotta Get Thru This" and "If You're Not The One" become big US hits two years ago, he's hit a sophomore slump with his latest record. Due to the lackluster response in the UK, it'll probably never see the light of day here (and rightfully so!).

Currently you can preview and download "These Words," Natasha's first single in the US, at the iTunes music store. Also, the title track from Unwritten is available on the Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants soundtrack, which is also available at iTunes. Our fave song from her is "The One That Got Away," which was a b-side to the UK "These Words" single.

Check out her official website for more info on her.

It's Over

I haven't cared about Michael Jackson's music, really, since Thriller. Maybe there were a few singles after that where it was like, Okay, not bad - "Smooth Criminal" and "Will You Be There" come to mind. But after getting the Thriller record for Christmas when I was 10 years old, I never bought another Michael Jackson album.

But, really, it's like he's always been there in the periphery, whether he was missing from my music collection or not. Like it or not, Michael Jackson is a part of several generations' lives.

Was I hoping he'd get off in this case? Yeah, I was. I followed it in the news every single day. Based on the facts alone, there was no way he should have been convicted. When the verdict on the 10 counts was read live today, a bunch of us in the office were huddled around the radio. It was tense. I felt happy for him with each "Not Guilty."

I'm glad for the guy. Will I rush out and now buy tons of Michael Jackson records? No. I still think his best days, career-wise, are way behind him. I'm not sure said career will ever recover, now especially. One wonders whether he's better off just disappearing into Howard Hughes-like exile.

In the end, one thing's for certain -- the King of Pop's reign, much like the trial, is officially over. Now, behave, Michael.

Destiny's Done

Destiny's Child has issued a statement to MTV that they're splitting up once the current tour wraps up. We were always kinda surprised they stuck it out this long after Beyonce's huge success as a solo starlet.

Was anyone even impressed with the latest album's singles, anyway? What were they called? One was something about a soldier, right?

Boy, what's that dumb one in the group, Michelle, gonna do now? At least Kelly was in one of those Friday The 13th movies, so she can probably maintain a career in straight-to-cable movies or softcore porn. But that dumb girl? Oooh, child! Hope she saved up her pennies....

Singled Out: Bananarama

Not only is Bananarama back, but the gals are sounding better than ever! Their spankin' new single, "Move In My Direction," gets a UK release on July 25th! They've even got a snazzy website with fun flash graphics.

The song is getting heavily compared to Geri Halliwell's "Ride It" single from last fall, but "Move In My Direction" blows Geri outta the water in our opinion! (Speaking of which, Geri's new one, "Desire," sucks beyond belief).

Go here to watch the video for "Move In My Direction," where the girls get all down and dirty in the desert.

More Jangly Guitar Pop From Sweden

If you're in the mood for some breezy summer pop from a new artist, check out Lisa Miskovsky's debut album, Falling Water. Her first single, "Lady Stardust," was already a massive hit in her home country of Sweden.

Lisa is actually the co-writer of Backstreet Boys' 2000 hit "Shape Of My Heart," along with Max Martin. Now she's taking a shot in front of the mic herelf. She already won the Best Female Artist equivalent of a Grammy in Sweden last year for her album.

We've actually been playing "Lady Stardust" since last summer, when it was given to us be a Swedish music-obsessed pal. In fact, one of the regular commentators on this blog takes her name from the song!

You can check out her official website to hear clips from the album and learn more about her.

My Photos Of The Killers Concert In Cleveland

I finally uploaded the photos I took from The Killers concert in Cleveland two weekends ago. I'm no Anton Corbijn, but I don't think these turned out too terribly bad.

The final one, where Brandon's "triumphantly" holding up his fist, is from their final encore song, "All These Things That I've Done." Also, note the girl making a heart with her fingers at Brandon in the second to last one!

Hope you like 'em.

Happiness Is A New Saint Etienne Album

There's a lot of hype lately over albums by super-huge mega rock bands that we couldn't give a toss about - Oasis, Coldplay, White Stripes, etc. But sometimes, just when music and the world start sucking, something really cool happens. This month it happens to be a new album from Saint Etienne, now signed to uber-trendy label du jour, Sanctuary Records.

Now, Tales From Turnpike House is a concept album. I've personally not heard it yet. But, as much as concept albums are a turnoff, at least it's not a covers album. That's the ultimate kiss of death with any band or artist in my book. And, quite frankly, I'm going into this with optimism. Saint Etienne have yet to let me down. Here's a cool article on the album.

It's been 3 long years since we've gotten a new album from the band. Tales From Turnpike House is released in the UK this Tuesday. No date is set yet for the US.

The Chart Don't Lie: Mimi's #1 All Over The Place

Oh, Mimi. Why don't you get crazy and hand out popscicles to dough-eyed teens at TRL anymore, while clad in the latest two dollar hooker chic? We just liked it better when you lost it and were flopping.

At any rate, Mimi's been officially emancipated. Mariah Carey's single "We Belong Together" remains at #1 on Billboard's Hot 100 Singles chart for a third week, while her album The Emancipation Of Mimi rebounds to the top of the album chart.

We love you this year, hooker. But watch your back.

A Good Coldplay Song? Oh, It's 'Cause They Ripped Off Kraftwerk!

We thought something was up when we played Coldplay's new album for the first time on Tuesday, and something about the fifth track, "Talk," seemed very catchy and familiar. Normally, Coldplay songs don't reach this height of being epically good, at least in our book.

Hmmm. Where had we heard that opening melody before? Well, like most revelations, this one came in the shower, earlier this morning! "Talk" unashamedly "borrows" it's entire melody and hook from Kraftwerk's "Computer Love!"

Now, far from being the authority, we thought'd we do a little digging online to see if there was any actual acknowledgement of this, and here's what we found.

Oh well. It's still a good song. Even if it's not original.

Is This Really What Music History Sounds Like?

I'm listening to Coldplay's X&Y for the third time. It's after midnight. I've just read lots of news headlines under the Yahoo News search on the album:

* It's flying off the shelves across the globe!

* The cover art is a 19th Century outdated morse code symbol!

* The album's been panned by The New York Times!

* The album is going to have the biggest opening week sales in the UK ever!

But really, with the exception of "Talk" and bits of every three songs or so, I just don't get it.... What am I missing? Why do Chris Martin's falsetto oooohs and aaaahs sounds so uninspiring to me?

And why doesn't ANYONE but me find it absurd that "Speed Of Sound" is an utter retread of the band's own "Clocks"?

Maybe I need sleep.

Singled Out: Duran Duran

This might have been more exciting last fall, when Duran Duran's latest album Astronaut came out - but the band is set to release the song "Nice" as their third single.

I always thought this was the best song on that album - it's very dramatic, upbeat and has a great robotic vocal effect. As Nick Rhodes told Billboard, "To me that's a really traditional Duran Duran track. It could almost have been on any of our albums. It's very identifiable as us -- uplifting, simple, beautiful melody, cool groove. And it just felt like a good summer song." There's no release date yet for the single.

Meanwhile, Duran Duran are still on a world tour that's turning very Cher-like in length. In fact, they've alread begun the process for starting their new album while still on tour.

They'll take part in Bob Geldof's Live 8 concerts in July.

Uhhh.....

What's going on here? What are these mysterious photos floating around on the internet? Could it be true? Clay Aiken likes to pose for pictures grabbing some PYT's jugs - hey, that'll show 'em! Those rumors will end immediately! And, Jesus, she looks so into it, right?

Oh, okay... now that's more like it. Work those tonsils, baby! That's it! Get that wrist action goin'.

Are You Living Under A Rock, Too?

Remember when Madonna used to have hits? That's probably back when people cared about her records, and anticipated them being released.

Well, a week or so ago, on her official website, this statement was put up:

If you haven't heard that Madonna is back in the studio recording, then you might be living under a rock! Chatter & speculation about the new album has been non-stop. What will be the theme of the album? Who does Madonna collaborate with? When will the album be released? Fans everywhere are dying to find out the truth. At this time, Madonna.com can confirm that Madonna is busy in the studio collaborating with new producers that she has never worked with before. Can't confirm any names yet, but stay tuned to Madonna.com for more insider information.

Okay, granted, the statement says that fans are "dying to find out the truth." Still, quite a brazen statement for such a religious being.

Let's just hope that when Madge is out promoting the CD, she's doesn't go all Tom Cruise-like and use the opportunity as a forum to shove her faith down our throats. We prefer the days when she was shoving other things down hers.

Hot Fuss

Sorry, Mr. Brady....

Hopefully this will make up for the pic below, wherein Mr. Brady complained that Brandon Flowers wasn't looking his best. Perhaps it's the lighting?

He's looking a tad better-coiffed in this pic.
