Dang! Them Rascal Flatts Boys Is Cute

Pop/country act Rascal Flatts not only have the #1 album this week, with sales of over 700,000 copies, but their single "What Hurts The Most" jumps all the way from #52 to #8 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart.

[UPDATE]: Thanks to Mr. Brady for pointing out that this is indeed -- depending on who recorded it first -- either a cover or at least the same song that former S Club member Jo O'Meara released as a single in the U.K. back in September. Her version got to #13 in the British charts.

The rest of the Top 10 is pretty much the same as previous weeks. Natasha Bedingfield is now certified with 3 million downloads of "Unwritten," while James Blunt has 2 million with "You're Beautiful." Look for LL Cool J & Jennifer Lopez to debut high -- possibly at the top -- next week with "Control Myself," as it's the most-downloaded single after only two days of release.

Meanwhile, Jennifer Lopez... wasn't her music career supposed to have died by now?

The U.S. Top 10:

1. "Bad Day" - Daniel Powter *3 weeks*
2. "Temperature" - Sean Paul
3. "What You Know" - T.I.
4. "You're Beautiful" - James Blunt
5. "Be Without You" - Mary J. Blige
6. "Unwritten" - Natasha Bedingfield
7. "Lean Wit It, Rock Wit It" - Dem Franchize Boys
8. "What Hurts The Most" - Rascal Flatts
9. "Ms. New Booty" - Bubba Sparxxx
10. "So Sick" - Ne-Yo

Yep, and as in the "unreleased album track for Bellefire". You can hear it here:

Cool.. I like multiple "current" versions of the same song, it's so sixties!

What Hurts The Most is a cover of a Mark Wills country song, from his 2003 album. It was later recorded by Bellefire for their second released album.

Re: Lopez' music career: singing the "hook" on the umpteenth comeback single of a 40-something has-been should be classified "pretty much dead."

wow its like a history lesson coming to this blog :) This song certainly is one big whore. I vaguely remember Jo singing this at one of the gay clubs here in Birmingham England, but my lesbian friend Ruth was well drunk so kept jabbering unnatural things in my ear about what she would to Jo if she got her alone! Dirty beyotch :) Still the bloke is fairly cute - i've seen cuter but i wouldn't kick him out of bed. And neither would dazpanteloons ;) We could be the other two rascal flatts - then we'd see what hurts the most ;)

Oh, have you seen the new post-chemo pix of Kylie? I hate her for looking so good when no one else would have. :P But I'm happy for her

Well, LL isn't quite forty yet and he's had five top 40 singles including the number one with his last J.Lo collaboration since 2002, so he's hardly a has been.

It's not like he's doing Flavor of Love.

No, he's a has-been. He could go to number one eight times a day and he'd still be a has-been. That's just how it is.
