Hi, Mom!

It's hard to believe it's been 10 years since these broads hit the scene (except in the U.S., where we had the Spice Girls phenomenon as a one-year delayed reaction). But, it seems appropriate to trot out this video, as this Sunday is Mother's Day. Don't forget to call or send the old hooker a card!

Tomorrow I'm flying back home to visit Mama D'Luv for a week. It'll be Chart Rigger on location in good ol' western Pennsylvania.

safe flight to mama d'luvs!! I was at summer camp in rochester when the summer of spice took hold and i came back expecting everyone to be gripped by Gary Bore-lows solo career but no! Some trashy track called Wannabe had stormed the charts. I managed to pretend to be above it all til that Christmas when 2 become 1 came out (how gutted was i when the jewel track on 0304 wasn't a cover of that?) and i love a slushy christmas ballad :) Then returned to camp the next summer all spiced out and everyone there was loving them! Shame about the Forever album being such a pile of cack though...

Ahh yes, I remember that summer fondly. I was escorted out of the law firm (damn that pertnership!), split with my bitch of a wife and her babythatwasnotmine and built the first of my many mobile crystal meth labs. Good times, good times...

Or maybe that wasn't me. But anyway, I DO love that song "Mama."

Oh god, I remember watching the whole clip of where they did this Mama performance and wishing I was one of the little brats singing Say Youll Be There cross-legged and well-behaved on the floor :( I still do!
