Nelly Furtado Bitch-Slaps Shakira

Not much new going on in the official UK singles chart, other than Nelly Furtado's "Maneater" holding off the competition at #1. Not even Shakira, who trumped Nelly in the U.S., could knock her off the top spot. That could all change over here soon, though, as Furtado's U.S. single "Promiscuous" has overtaken "Hips Don't Lie" as the top iTunes download. Further down the Top 10, another World Cup anthem checks in at #10, making a total of three of the football-themed tunes in the tally (all in a row).

And Dannii Minogue's latest, "So Under Pressure," has a not-so-great placing at #20. Still, it gives her the 13th Top 20 UK hit of her 15-year career.
