The Killers To Do Next Bond Theme?

The Killers seem to be rebounding quite quickly after the humdrum reception Sam's Town got this fall (Though the album has gone platinum here in the States, selling a million copies). First it was announced "Read My Mind," their next single, will receive it's very own PSB Maxi-Mix via the Pet Shop Boys. Also, "A Great Big Sled" officially became a hit on Billboard's Hot 100 Singles chart this week. Now, rumors abound that the band has been asked to record the next James Bond theme song.

Maybe by that time, Brandon Flowers will "rediscover" Duran Duran and they can come up with something as good as "A View To A Kill."

That must be a false rumor. What if someone better comes along in the next 2 years! Like...anyone.

The Killers are pretty much over now. In two years, they will be embarrassingly irrelevant and therefore perfect for the new Bond theme. (See also: Cornell, Chris.)

Daniel Craig should squeeze the trigger on his knob and shoot Brandon in the face with it.
