Pet Shop Boys, Depeche Mode, Keane & The Killers Nominated For Grammys

In addition to the usual slew of R&B artists nominated for the Grammy Awards, this year (see nominations here) both Depeche Mode ("Suffer Well") and Pet Shop Boys ("I'm With Stupid") were nominated in the Best Dance Recording category. Additionally, the Boys' Fundamental was nominated for Best Dance/Electronic Album. The Killers' "When You Were Young" and Snow Patrol's "Chasing Cars" are up in the Best Rock Song category, and Keane got a nod for Best Pop Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal for "Is It Any Wonder?".

Well but Goldfrapp is one of the only acts that really should be in that category as it was originally envisioned. It's a damn shame what a sad joke that categoy has become. But the Grammies have rarely been really progressive.

Wow, I'm sure Dave's strutting around like a peacock since he wrote "Suffer Well." Martin's probably pissed.

Shouldn't everyone from DM be happy just to be nominated? Talk about choosey beggars... they can always sell the damned award for more "horse" to write the next single, I'm sure. What's the street value of a statuette, anyway?

Maybe when Goldfrapp wins the Grammy (uh, tied with the PSB?) Mr. D'Luv will let me put up a big mash note to her!

Where is Hear'Says nomination for their second album? Im still waiting on that...and until they receive their dues all wins/nominations are worthless.

i am all about the killers and snow patrol nomination, but the fall of keane from my graces is just ridiculous! I have gone from being excited about their album to bewildered to totally past caring...

Well if we're going to honor those from the Dumper, Steps should really be nominated (and win) every single year for 'Tragedy' as life will remain a tragedy until they return! :.-(

Oh what a great idea! The Dumper Awards! For acts who never got their dues for they remained in a land not of cool or uber but on the margin of acceptance.
