The Ego Has Crash Landed
Poor Robbie Williams. The needy L.A. transplant, whose hit status in his home country lately has been wobbly, has checked into rehab.
Frankly, it sounds a bit suspect that this is another attempt to bone Lindsay Lohan, but I digress. The Rudebox has apparently been popping pills, according to his spokesperson: "Robbie Williams has today been admitted into a treatment centre in America for his dependency on prescription drugs. There will be no further comment on this matter." Anyway, let's hope he gets healthy soon.
Maybe he's upset that Take That have massively overshadowed his once untarnished career in England, and that they're supposedly getting a U.S. release sometime this year for Beautiful World.
Or maybe he just read our banterview on him.
It's the last day to vote in our poll for which artist deserves a comeback most, in the sidebar.

I think Take That are great, and their two singles are a couple of my favorite tracks right now, but I think it's ridiculous to immediately dethrone Robbie when their successes aren't even comparable. 10 years of sustained success all over the world (minus the US...we are terrible!) versus one album that's been a hit in the UK? Only the tabloids and anyone desperate to take RW down a peg could find a way to make that competitive.

Robbie certainly doesn't deserve to be taken down a peg. But, hey, don't shoot the messenger. our aim is to just report the news in a fair and balanced manner.

Actually, one of the things I love about USA radio is that it's been completely immune to the miserable "charms" of Robbie Williams. Maybe Fergeleh should call him with some detox tips?
