Madonna To Warner Bros.: This Used To Be My Playground

After more than 60 years in the music business, Madonna's about to leave Warner Bros. and sign a $120 million deal with concert promoting firm Live Nation, Inc. Good for her, I say! It's really rad how all these great artists like Robyn and Darren Hayes...oh, and Madonna...are really steering their own careers in new directions while the major labels all have their thumbs up their rumps with suing soccer moms for grabbing songs off Limewire.

Madonna apparently still owes Warners one more studio album and, Jesus Christ, another F-ing greatest hits. You can read the full details of the deal here. Interesting that the label tried to keep her by offering her a similar deal.

Not to be a pedant, D'Luvvie, but I think you accidentally attached a pic of Dolly Parton there.

    Oops. Never mind!

    Old Madonna had a farm...

you made me laugh on the 60 years comment.

I do think Madonna has a lot more work in her, but it's all about paring her up with the right collaborator. She is still aiming for a young audience, which can't last forever. Can gays support the rest of her career by themselves?
