I'm Not Entirely Convinced NLT Aren't Actually Justin Timberlake In Teen Boy Drag

Yes, it's two boy band posts in one day.

So, while driving home from Pinkberry, KIIS-FM started playing a pop song that I assumed was Justin Timberlake, only there was something a bit off -- it sounded like five Justin Timberlakes, circa the *NSync days, like all nasally and boy band-y and shit.

Then Timbaland's vanity vocals kicked in. When it was over, the radio DJ said it was NLT [website], who are apparently a boy band comprised of 17- and 18-year-olds, and their song is called "She Said, I Said (Time We Let Go)." It's not that bad! The single is on iTunes, along with a couple other not-as-good songs by them called "Heartburn" and "That Girl."

Meanwhile, 17 and 18? More like 13 and 14. I feel like I might get arrested just from watching the video! And I dunno, given the Timbaland connection, it still sounds like Justin to me.

Pablo, and this post was dedicated to you, and the one prior to Poster Girl! Well, not really, but I figured you'd like 'em. I don't know why, I really like this NLT song. Although, seeing the cheezed-out video made me like it a tad less. Sometimes you just shouldn't see the people singing songs you like.

You know, Jason, it's not the watching that will get you in trouble, it's what you're doing with the watching that's cardinal!

Okay that last comment cracked me up! I really love NLT. The song is hot to me. The guys are cool too, sweethearts really. I've spoken with them before. Their music is good. They are Justin Timberlake-like but that's not necessarily a bad thing. And NLT will be everywhere within a year, I'm pretty sure it's inevitable. I can't wait. I'm rootin' for them. I love the fact that even though you, J'ason, are not into the whole boyband thing you can admit that you like the song. I appreciate that. I think people should learn to detach the term "boy band" from the actual music. Just because they are a "boy band" doesn't automatically mean they will be a gimmicky, substance-less, sucktacular group.

Oh, and they are actually 18 and 19. :)

Thanks for all the info! And au contraire, I've been a fan of some boy bands in my time. I really like Timbaland's production of this particular song, and the guys are good singers.

listen i think everyone has forgotten the real issue ihere...it does not matter how they look, how many members may be gay, underage etc. the fact of the matter when you hear good music thats all that matter.....there album has leaked all over the internet you should check it out...its really good and i think that they are going to break the typical cliche image of boy bands out there....(not to mention that they are manage by chris stokes who made marques houston, omarion and b2k famous) i think someone will be eating there words. and justin is justin all in his own. before you critique no what yer talking about.
