Have You Ever Been "Low"?

It's another week for Flo Rida and T-Pain's "Low" atop the Billboard Hot 100, but since that trash appeals to the low-est common denominator, let's take a moment to revisit Kelly Clarkson's 2003 single "Low" instead.

It's strange to think that it's now been nearly five years since Kelly's debut album was released -- and almost six years since she won a first-season reality TV talent show called American Idol! And, sure, current Idol winner Jordin Sparks has a hit now, but unless she de-blands herself by showing some personality or flashing a pack of nuns, it's unlikely she'll have the staying power Kelly posseses.

That said, two albums later, here's hoping Kelly Clarkson's handlers ship that broad off to Sweden again for her next one so she can get back to making good music.

But speaking of good music, the Billboard chart is about due to retire this stale Top 10 that's remained more or less unchanged for the past month or so. It's so last year.

The U.S. Top 10:

1. "Low" - Flo Rida feat. T-Pain *2 weeks* *sales gainer*
2. "No One" - Alicia Keys
3. "Apologize" - Timbaland feat. OneRepublic
4. "Kiss Kiss" - Chris Brown feat. T-Pain
5. "Crank That (Soulja Boy)" - Soulja Boy Tell'em
6. "Clumsy" - Fergie
7. "Bubbly" - Colbie Caillat
8. "Paralyzer" - Finger Eleven
9. "Love Song" - Sara Bareilles
10. "Tattoo" - Jordin Sparks

    Hello you!

Let me be the first to say Happy Birthday. I know its not your actual birthday. But let me be first to say it!

Ok, its even odder to think its been 7 years since Hear'say topped the charts and roughly 9 since the entire "popstar" bandwagon of shows begun back in New Zealand.

Here's hoping that she is making that album that she should have made for My December (even though Sober was a great song).

And Yay to Sara B in the top ten!! ROCK!

what a dull charts, but not a dull commentary! haha. All i have to say is i notice you listening to a perfect trifecta of pop songs on your lastfm list in the side bar. Woo hoo for So Good, Damaged and Call The Shots (which i assume you were listening to under duress, tied to a chair with an orange in your mouth :P )

They should have payola'd her first single again, like they did with Since You Been Gone!
