When You Die And Go To Hell, It's Actually A Never-Ending Nickelback Concert

The Top 10 of the U.K. singles chart has flirted with (disaster!!) Nickelback's low-rent "Rockstar" for months now, and it initially peaked at #15 in November. This week the Canadian rockers manage to get to #8 with "Rockstar," but were James At War's parody, "Popstar" to get released, surely it would trump the original.

The stuff magic is made of. Here in the States, Nickelback have sold seven million copies of their latest album. God bless America.

Chartwise, January is always the dullest month. Well, unless you want to talk about Leon Jackson. Then it's like a pack of firecrackers going off down your pants. The stuff magic is made of.

On a final note, Robyn's third U.K. single of late, "Be Mine!" lands at #55 this week on downloads alone. The physical single is out next Monday.

The U.K. Top 10:

1. "When You Believe" - Leon Jackson *3 weeks*
2. "Crank That (Soulja Boy)" - Soulja Boy Tell'em
3. "Bleeding Love" - Leona Lewis
4. "Apologize" - Timbaland feat. OneRepublic
5. "Rule The World" - Take That
6. "Valerie" - Mark Ronson feat. Amy Winehouse
7. "Call The Shots" - Girls Aloud
8. "Rockstar" - Nickelback
9. "Heartbroken" - T2 feat. Jodie Aysha
10. "No One" - Alicia Keys

Fack about! Apparently this weeks chart was the highest selling one in "yonks" possibly since Elton dusted off some old tune in memory of princess Di. Everyone rushed out and used their iTunes gift cards which is why the Sugababes About You Now is outselling Change, and lots of old songs rocketed up the charts. I suspect that it's also why there were some lower than expected chart positions for Mika (20 - though really, lazy c**t releasing a 5th single?!) Kylie (dipping to 43) and a song I actually like but don't tell anyone at 55. I am hoping all will do better next week. We shall see!

AND that Mika track is a bloody 2 yr old re-release. Tsk. I bet he IS bloody 'relaxing' and 'taking it easy'. On a bloody Caribbean island somewhere, counting a bloody great pile of cash. Bloody shriek goat.

But Robyn has my total blessing for releasing her 2 yr old disc. Of course.

Pablo, oh, really!? What made you come around to song #55?

Phil, Ha! Of course. She can get away with it because of the hair.
