Take That: Pop Reigns At The Brits

Take That won two major categories at The Brit Awards tonight: Best British Single -- for last year's U.K. #1, "Shine" -- and Best Live Act. Somewhere, Robbie Williams just tripped over a pile of dirty laundry, hit his head on a stack of hookers and blacked out.

Kylie Minogue also won, for Best International Female. Here she is presenting 65-year-old Paul McCartney with his Outstanding Contribution statue, with the entire Osbourne clan behind them. (Sharon and Ozzy hosted the event.)

Too bad the Grammys couldn't be this classy. Here is the full list of winners at the 2008 Brits:

Best British Male Mark Ronson
Best British Female Kate Nash
Best British Group Arctic Monkeys
Best British Album Favourite Worst Nightmare by Arctic Monkeys
Best British Breakthrough Mika
Best Live Act Take That
Best British Single "Shine" (Take That)
Best International Male Kanye West
Best International Female Kylie Minogue
Best International Group Foo Fighters
Best International Album Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace by Foo Fighters
Critics’ Choice Award Adele
Outstanding Contribution Sir Paul McCartney

Woo for Take That! Not woo for best international group and album.

Oh, and Paula got my 99 cents--I bought "Dance Like There's No Tomorrow" from iTunes.

The Osbournes look like they smell like cat litter and Avon. Can't someone take them out already, Romanov-style?

I'm glad the Foo Fighters have found a land where they can be accepted. Seriously, can anyone hum anything they've done in the past ten years?
