Christopher Ciccone's Book Is Out Today!

Christopher Ciccone's Madonna tell-all Life With My Sister Madonna is finally out. If there was any doubt that Madge's embattled brother is a wordsmith for our times, witness the following brilliance from an excerpt published in the Daily Mail:
Every bit of anger I've ever felt at her, every disappointment she's caused me, every iota of pride I've swallowed on her behalf, every bitter rejection – it all comes to the surface. I reply to her. "You have never in the entire time I have worked for you since 1985 paid me even close to what I was worth. I gave up my life to help make you the evil queen you are today. Fifteen years listening to your bitching, egotistical rantings, mediocre talent and a lack of taste that would stun the ages."
Forget the context that was taken from—it's poetry! I'm grabbing two copies of this trash, because the man deserves to buy a 40-ounce from 7-Eleven when the royalty checks start rolling in, so he can celebrate his classy literary achievement with dignity.

The two Ciccones are amazingly similar in the excerpt: petulant and self-obsessed. Love it!

I'd say little brother has about 4 Minutes to live. Run Forrest, run!

You are a horrible man for celebrating in this sad sibling animosity! But... I want to buy it soooo badly too... What does that make me? :(

Someone help me here...does anyone care anymore? 10 weeks into release, and the CD has already dropped out of the top 50. It's amusing for a second, since Chris is a hot mess, but if there is any justice in the world, he'll be lucky if he does get that Slurpee out of it.

I showed my mum that picture of what Christopher looks like now and she mentioned something about him having the face of "constipation from over-chasing the dragon." Thanks Mum!

I thought you might like that.

I've just finished it!! You may mock, but I actually loved being thrown into the dramatics of Madonna's inner circle! By the end of the book, I could see just how much he loved his sister, and she's not sending the lawyers after him, so there must be truth in his words.

Paul, just it started last night.

Phil, what, there are more important things going on in the world...??

Yuri, nah, she's probably the one scared, since she can't control how people will react to the book.

Joshua, it would make you a patron of the arts, luv.

Chris, or at least a 75-cent chili dog.

    Anonymous #1, thanks!

    Anonymous #2, hear, hear!

Adem, my mom was the one to e-mail and tell me Chris Ciccone was on Good Morning America the other day...I had no idea.

Alyson, mock you? I'm with you. I only got to Chapter 4 last night.

I just read it cover to cover in a day and a half. I just couldn't put it down!!!!

He doesn't dish as much dirt as I thought he would, but he points out how much Madonna's gone from being the joyous pop star to the cold vampyre we see before us now.

I've always loved Madonna and will always still buy her music. Its just not that much fun anymore.

I would have liked more goss on, say, Debi Mazar and why Madge and she no longer really talk, but otherwise I was happy with the book. How naive was I when I first saw "In Bed With Madonna" (or is that 'Bedtime With Madonna' Christopher??) that I honestly - up until this book - thought that the majority of the doco was all for reals?!

I liked reading about Styler's BO questioning. What a nutbag!
