David Archuleta Is Looking A Bit, Uh, Inappropriate These Days

David Archuleta's album was put of for pre-order on iTunes this week, and as an incentive, you get his cover of Robbie Williams' "Angels" if you buy now. This self-titled trash is out November 11.

And before you even ask, hell no am I getting this shit! It's highly doubtful anything as classy as "Crush" will be on there.

Speaking of which, my second Daily Beast recommendation—a review of Archuleta's "Crush"—was posted yesterday. Quite frankly, that site was under-using the term "cougar, so they're just lucky I came along.

A few other random iTunes observations:
  • 1. Can you believe Snow Patrol (#3) and Lady GaGa's (#4) albums are currently outselling Pink (#14)?
  • 2. So is Toby Keith!
  • 3. The Sam Taylor-Wood/Pet Shop Boys single "I'm In Love With A German Film Star" and its remixes are available at the U.S. iTunes store.

when are US singers going to give up on the fact that Angels will not be a hit there?! And no I cannot believe and refuse to accept that the fun but lets face it quite derivative Lady Blah is outselling fabbo Pink. Booooooooo!

PS Yay for you cougarness on daily beast.

David A for the Daily Beast crowd? Heh heh!

Poor Pink, she is #11 on US iTunes and but is #3 on Amazon. I think people don't know it's out. She needs a new single and, frankly, Sober sucks. The title track is a killer. In this age, you have no time to waste on a bad single.

The only thing I can think of with Pink is that the others had pre-orders that pushed their initial sales. Let's see how it does towards the weekend. Unless she's too busy with her power tools at home to get out and promote the record.

I got my hands on Pink's new one early and think it's awful. Boring pop rock.

You have 'spoken' a wee bit too early, calling David Archuleta's debut album "trash".

You will be pleasantly surprised at the diverse tracks on this album and then you should come back and apologize.
