Two New Videos From The Killers And Keane That Don't Live Up To The Songs

Below are the low key videos for The Killers' "Human" and Keane's "The Lovers Are Leaving."* Great songs, snoozy clips.

(Note: The Keane video starts at about 2:24 in. This was the only version where the embedding code wasn't disabled.)

Brandon Flowers is wearing the same feathered frock he had on during the Killers' Saturday Night Live performance.

He probably sleeps in that drag.

Ah D'Luv - there is a credit crunch. Even delicate little B-Flo has to use his hideous clothes more than once these days :P

And yet they are charging for these shit videos on itunes!

As I said earlier, I love Lafleur's Gig Gay Moment at 3:45.

I get the Killers video...connected to the Earth and its other inhabitants, and we're small in comparison. But did they just walk out their back door in Vegas to shoot this? As for Keane, I feel like I'm watching one of those early 80s videos where you had no idea what was going on. I kind of like it for that reason.

    Ugh. Awful.

But it's not like people are making many mind blowing clips of late really is it? Lazy crap.

I can forgive the feathered jacket when Brandon is looking MATINÉE-IDOL GORGEOUS.

As a video, I guess it is a bit of a non-event. I think John's comment just about nails it.

"Lovers Are Losing" (the song) is still perfect. Just perfect. Maybe they'll have to take another single from the album before I being to get the whole thing, though?

Paul, very, very excellent point—in fact, I read an article the other day about artists having their 'entourage' of handlers/makeup/hair people scaled back by label budgets.

XO, they both have their moments, but neither clip is awe-inspiring. Unlike my naked butt, which is always a wonder to behold.

John, yes, kind of like that Judas Priest video where the guy runs onto the dock and then is blown to pieces. That one always made me feel sexy.

Adem, no, but see Paul's comments. It's pop on a budget these days.

PG, well, I'm feelin' the album! It's very good! I've loved all three of theirs, though.
