You May Be Disinclined To Choose Between Girls Aloud And The Saturdays

...But, hoo-ray, luckily you don't have to! Girls Aloud will officially release their 20th (!) single "The Loving Kind" in the U.K. on January 12. It was written by the Pet Shop Boys and Xenomania. Pop really doesn't get any better than this.

Meanwhile, The Saturdays, who opened earlier this year for Girls Aloud on tour, see their third single "Issues" out a week earlier, on January 5. The single version is notable for replacing the lyric "Don't know if I should slap you or kiss you" with "...leave you or kiss you."

I like "slap" better. But then again, I'm a violent bastard.

Here are the vids for "The Loving Kind" and "Issues":

I can't choose. I like them both. But maybe I'm in that weird category of "unsure" with GA's latest album. If fact, I definitely am.

AGREED. "The Loving Kind" is fantastic--I even love it a lot more than "Call The Shots."

Both lovely songs and videos. I'm not convinced Issues was a wise choice for single thouugh. Perhaps I'll be surprised.

Having despised Sluts aloud for the better part of their career this new single cements my transformation from hater to admirer of the Uk fivesome. It started with Tangled Up and now "the loving kind" showcases the act as not only very poptastic but Beautiful to look at also. In fact, I will now call them their rightful name Girls Aloud.

The Saturdays have wisely gone with a ballad and I think its a great single from a really great album. Still like "work", "lies" and "keep her" as potential future singles.

I wonder if Dannii kisses or slaps Cheryl next time they see each other. The Girls Aloud video is part Kylie, part Dannii, all flashy. The Saturdays, on the other hand, are a big ol' steamin' pile of "meh", even though the song is decent enough. Once again, I just don't understand some of the single choices that are going on right now.

The talentless cunts from Whores Aloud have plummeted to a new low with that stinker. The Pet Shop Boys should be ASHAMED!!!

Marry me Mike! You're so on the spot. Can I call the shots on Twats Aloud?

Adem is sure to have a heart attack.

The new Saturdays song is really good. I forgot what it's called but the summary of the song is "I am a hot mess"

PS can you imagine going to a GA concert and geting confused because The Saturdays come out and you're thinking "Why are Girls Aloud singing songs I do NOT recognize??? And why are there 3 brunettes instead of just 2?????" LOL

If The Saturdays' label insisted on doing a ballad as the third single, it should have been the lush-sounding "Fall." (and by lush-sounding, I mean Rihanna "Take A Bow" rip-off.)

But, their next single(s) has/have to be "Lies" and "Work"!

At first I misheard the Saturdays lyric as "don't know if I should stab you or kiss you". But perhaps that would be more Sugababes than Saturdays.
