Lady GaGa Debuts 'Future Love' On Tour

Last night's Lady GaGa show at the Wiltern here in Los Angeles was a fun affair, if not a tad short. Granted, she only has one album out.

While D'luv was waiting in line to grab a drink, Lil Wayne rolled up with a bodyguard and some leather-clad woman who looked like a cross between Cher and Alice Cooper. Hey, it's L.A. ... Anyway, they saw how long the wait to get hooch was and were like, "F it."

Lady GaGa's set consisted of her with three dancers and a DJ, several costume changes and kitschy '70s exploitation-style movie projections featuring the singer onto light cubes (much like the Pet Shop Boys' 2006 Fundamental tour).

Curiously, she didn't do "Paper Gangster," "Brown Eyes" or "Summer Boy."

That said, on this tour she's debuting a brand new song, "Future Love," albeit in piano ballad form while singing to a mannequin and wearing a dress made of bubbles. The song contains, much to the audiences delight, the classy line, "I wanna fu-fu-fu-fuck hard as I can!"

At the end of the rousing performance of the tune, Lady quips to her dancer, "Will you help me kill Prop 8?" in reference to the California proposition to ban gay marriage in the state.

Way-too-L.A. Moment: The concert veered over the top a tad when, at the very end of the encore (and to a mixture of boos and cheers), Perez Hilton walked out onstage and presented Lady GaGa with her triple platinum award for "Just Dance" selling three million downloads in the U.S. He then proceeded to dub her the "Princess Of Pop." Careful, Perez...you're aiming to have a gaggle of pissed-off divas after you.

"Paper Gangster" has become one of my favorite tracks of hers, so I'm disappointed that she didn't tap that bonus track to beef up the show. The Denver show is sold out as well, but I'm hoping that a connection with the promoter will come through. *fingers crossed*

The show looks great, I wish I could have been there. I think Australia got the budget tour because LG just stood in front of a microphone. No glamorous bubble outfits or spacey see through piano. Boo!

Oh and the new song is pretty cool.

Glad you had yourself some fun, though saddened by Perez' rain on your Gaga Parade. And "Princess of Pop"? Please--let's not get ahead of ourselves here. Reigning Resident Tranny of Electro, perhaps.

People would actually have to give a shit about what Mario says to be pissed by it.

Either he thinks Katy Perry and Robyn are over already, or he's just a two-faced leech. I can't decide which.

I've never heard any of Robyn's recent stuff on the radio so, yeah... not in the running, sadly. As for Katy, she'll have to recover from the unintentionally hilarious "Thinking of You" before she's considered even a lower form of royalty. Her tiara, tiny thought it may be, is pending.

"Paper Gangsta" is my favorite track from that album. "Brown Eyes" and "Summerboy" are both pretty good, also. I wonder why she doesn't play them.
