First Listen: 'My Baby's Waiting' By Industry

Is the world ready for another boy/girl pure pop act? Industry sure hope so! The band is comprised of Michele McGrath, Donal Skehan and Morgan Deane from Ireland, and Lee Hutton from England.

Industry's debut single, "My Baby's Waiting," is produced by Stockholm-based Ten, and will be released in the U.K. in June. And while PR pitches often get hurled this way, these ears are hearing Steps all over again—so how could I not be moved to share?

Take a listen to Industry's "My Baby's Waiting":

Apparently us Yanks might getting a dose of Industry later in the year. Their label is currently angling to have one of their songs featured on Grey's Anatomy next season. Still wouldn't be enough to get me to watch, though.

Ten are on a ROLL lately. Erik Hassle's album and now they're proving that their A*Teens-honed skills for pure pop are as sharp as ever?

I cannot wait to hear the full thing. That clip has "I'm going to love it" written all over it. How they're going to be on Grey's if this is the sound they're going for, I have no idea, and I'll be surprised if UK success beckons, but who cares (well, OK, success would be nice if they're good so we keep getting music from them)? Thanks, Robbie!

Random fact: Donal was in an ill-advised Lou Pearlman boy band for a while and then entered Ireland's national final for Eurovision last year with the (very good) "Double Cross My Heart."

I LOVE that clip. I really like the sound, it’s very fresh. Honestly, I think they will sell like wildfire. Finally something new and fun on the radio. Love to hear the rest. Boys are so hot too, love the blond, actually i kinda like both of them. ooh exciting.

I wonder if they will do a cover of "State Of The Nation"? That would be cool.

Great to see that this feel good song entered the charts in its first week at number 1.... People obviously like what they see and hear... great to see some of the dismissive losers on this page shown up for what they are... CLUELESS
