The Pet Shop Boys 'Did You See Me Coming?' Video Is Very Minimal

OK, we all know the world's economy is in the toilet and record label's are struggling and money'$ too tight to mention and perhaps the Pet Shop Boys had to fund their clip for "Did You See Me Coming?" themselves, but...

...does such a great song deserve this ho-hum video?

I'm sure they realise that only the fans will see this promo clip so why put any cash into the project.

Videos don't need cash to have energy or even an idea.

To be fair, this is kind of like being at a PSB concert, without all the cool stuff going on behind them. Maybe they realize that the chances this song will sell as a single have been already hurt, and are doing it more to promote the full-length. I don't hate it...it's very good for what it is, but I wouldn't go back and watch it over and over.

It probably sounded better on paper. I bet even they sighed a bit when they saw they final cut.

    I much prefer this version:
http://worrapolava.blogspot.com/2009/04/did-you-see-this-coming-new-psb-video.html although it's been made 'private' now...

    :(

By the way, I see my word verification below is "queer". Is is psychic?

I don't mind cheap videos, but this video doesn't capture the feel of the song at all, which is a shame. I was expecting something more cheerful and summery.
