Lady GaGa Lands A Third Top 10 Hit And Pink Is One Sturdy Bitch

Katy Perry's "Waking Up In Vegas" spent a brief seven days in the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100, but got its ass kicked back to Barstow this week to make room for Lady GaGa's "LoveGame" and several other singles.

In fact, with "LoveGame" at #10, Sean Kingston's "Fire Burning" at #9 and "Poker Face" at #2, that gives producer RedOne three Top 10 singles this week. "LoveGame" is now also Lady GaGa's third U.S. Top 10 hit.

Here's the video for "Paparazzi," what is so far officially deemed as Lady GaGa's third U.K. single and most likely fourth here:

Other pop singles on the steady climb include Kristinia DeBarge's "Goodbye," which finally gets nudged up from #33 to #20, no doubt due to that scandalous little hooker's video premiering last week.

And, I guess you can never underestimate the durability of Pink. Since its October release, her album Funhouse has quietly gone on to sell over four million copies worldwide, over a million of which were moved here in the States.

I say quietly because it seems like after the album's splashy first single "So What" hit #1 last fall, it seems like Pink fucked off the face of the planet.

However, this week she knabs her third Top 40 U.S. single off Funhouse with the Max Martin-produced "Please Don't Leave Me," which climbs to #34. The song has already reached #12 in the U.K., #11 in Australia, #10 in Canada and #7 in Germany.

The U.S. Top 10:

1. "Boom Boom Pow" - The Black Eyed Peas *9 weeks*
2. "Poker Face" - Lady GaGa
3. "I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)" - Pitbull
4. "Birthday Sex" - Jeremih
5. "Blame It" - Jamie Foxx feat. T-Pain
6. "Halo" - Beyonce
7. "Knock You Down" - Keri Hilson feat. Kanye West & Ne-Yo
8. "Day 'N' Nite" - Kid Cudi
9. "Fire Burning" - Sean Kingston
10. "LoveGame" - Lady GaGa

When will Boom Boom Pow leave our Earth? :*(

    @ Joshua--somewhere in 3008, you style-jacking chicken.

Also: good for P!nk. She's quietly and surprisingly been cranking out excellent jamz ever since she dyked up on a bike, and you have to respect that dependable, consistent success more than that of her flash-in-the-pan(ties) peers. Her greatest hits is going to be fantastic.

Oh, and VIVA LADY GAGA! All hail the TRUE queen!

The amazing thing about Pink is that she has not even launched her really big missile - the title track. That said, I still don't love this album like I love her. It's just a bit by the numbers. For her to really last, she needs to step it up. Too many girls are doing this sound now (which she did first), so she needs to move ahead of the pack.

XO, I completely agree with your assessment. Good components, but "Funhouse" as a whole isn't that great. However, her track record is pretty solid, and as long as she follows a by-the-numbers CD with one that pushes boundaries a bit, I think she'll be fine.

I am, I'm afraid, sadly in the minority when it comes to Pink. I just don't really get her. Yes, I realize that she is practically descended from Debbie Harry who I adore, but I have not really gotten into her music save a few songs here and there since Missundaztood.

Part of it for me is that it seems like they play her every hour on the radio at work. And I sometimes feel like Pink is a safe female artist for guys that normally wouldn't give a diva the time of day to like so that kind of rubs me the wrong way.

That having been said, I do agree with the sentiments above about steady success vs. flash in the pan, here today, gone tomorrow success.

This is probably the best US top 10 since the 80s. I like 6 of them!
