Tinchy Stryder + Amelle Berrabah < T.I. + Rihanna

No, pop cats, you're not seeing, er, hearing double. Tinchy Styder and Amelle Berrabah's "Never Leave You"—this weeks new U.K. #1 single—only sounds like T.I. and Rihanna's "Live Your Life."

Well, okay, it may not sound exactly like it. But Amelle does seem to have copped Ri-Ri's hairstyle (pictured right) in the video.

And, I say, why not? If JLS can knock off Kardinal Offishall and have a major hit, then why can't Tinchy and the scandalous Sugababes vixen play the same game? Incidentally, this now gives Amelle her third trip to the top of the Brit chart, following the 'babes's "About You Now," and their team-up with Girls Aloud on "Walk This Way."

Meanwhile, can you believe that in the band's decade-long history, the newest Sugababes member is technically the first one to go to #1 without the other girls?

Elsewhere, a week ahead of its physical CD single release, Little Boots' "Remedy" flies up from #33 to #14—just one notch lower than her previous single, "New In Town," peaked at back in June.

The other classy news is that, hoo-ray, Frankmusik actually rebounds a tad with "Confusion Girl," which is up five positions to #27 this week. Also, his full LP Complete Me enters the album chart at #13. My own copy should be arriving in the mail ASAP. Ain't that a kick in the pants?

The U.K. Top 10:

1. "Never Leave You" - Tinchy Stryder feat. Amelle *1 week*
2. "I Gotta Feeling" - The Black Eyed Peas
3. "Supernova" - Mr Hudson feat. Kanye West
4. "Beat Again" - JLS
5. "Sweet Dreams" - Beyonce
6. "I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)" - Pitbull
7. "Evacuate The Dancefloor" - Cascada
8. "Bulletproof" - La Roux
9. "Paparazzi" - Lady Gaga
10. "Get Shaky" - The Ian Carey Project

I imagine Amelle is probably looking to jump the Sugababes ship with this taste of outside success.

The babes newest jam is part right said fred, part Gwen stefani and part lady gaga and all a total mess.
    I love Amelle though.

Mutya must be livid. But I like Amelle more than I ever liked her.

I'm hoping that this will help the Sugababes chart well. Catfights and Spotlights deserved to do much better than it did. I know it's derivative and far too American sounding, but Get Sexy totally grew on me. I'm intrigued by what the rest of the album will sound like.

Truthfully, the album Ghosts by former babe Siobhan Donaghy is probably one of the best albums of this decade, it blows Mutya out of the water!

Siobhan's "ghosts" is one of the most sophisticated, artistic and truly forward thinking pop albums ever made. One of the most grossly overlooked albums ever.
