Pet Shop Boys' 'Beautiful People' EP Has Surprisingly Popped Up On U.S. iTunes

Quick note to mention that the the EP for the Pet Shop Boys' third single off Yes, "Beautiful People" popped up on U.S. iTunes this week, despite not even getting a proper release in their home country of Great Britain. Plus, it includes the 7" mix of 2006 Richard X-produced track "Fugitive."

This kind of gives hope that the Christmas EP with the Boys' "Viva La Vida" cover will get a digital release here in the States, too!

I am as surprised as you are but very glad that it's available for download. Here's hoping to see more in the future.

i'm still trying to find out whether the rumour is true that this was meant for the UK tv show beautiful people! It totally works, but i guess Dan Gillespie Sex Sells got there first!! Nice to see a release though. Anxiously awaiting the christmas EP!!

mdSF, they'd better slap that Christmas EP up on iTunes is all I'm saying.

Paul, it was! They said so in the Yes commentary. Jonathan Harvey was hoping for something a bit more "Pet Shop Boys" from them, though, so it wasn't used.

I LOVE the extended mix of "Fugitive" but have always wanted a radio-friendly one for when I just can't invest six minutes on it. I'll definitely be getting that b-side--thanks for the heads up!

It was a very happy surprise to find the single on itunes. It's even featured which is how I found it. Better yet it's up on amazon so if you want to pay a dollar less you can. At least Astralwerks has gotten the concept that releasing singles digitally is a winning situation as we have had the chance to buy every single from Yes which hasn't happened since at least Nightlife.
Robbie you might be interested that long time PSB programmer Pete Gleadall has a new single with Tom Stephan & Rowetta out on beatport: http://bit.ly/2wJqza

It isn't even available in the U.K. iTunes store. I bought from Amazon.de a while ago.
