Chicks Rule This Year's Brits Pack, Plus A Look Back At A Decade Of Decent Nominees

Lady Gaga, Lily Allen, Florence And The Machine and Pixie Lott all landed three Brit Awards nominations today. The shindig goes down on February 16, about two and a half weeks after the Grammys. Gone now is the British Live Act category.

And though Simon Cowell made out like a bandit with artists such as JLS, Leona Lewis, Alexandra Burke and, yes, even Joe McElderry receiving nods, Susan Boyle was completely shut out. Ironically, she had the best-selling album in the U.K. last year.

Below is the full list of nominations—a bit of a ho-hum snooze if you ask me, given last year's spectacular ceremony and lineup. Following that, I posted some of the more exciting wins from the past decade.

    It's not particularly thrilling is it? I tend to sky plus it now and then forward through the tedium the morning after...Ah Steps. A much deserved win. Their live shows were phenom!
