Kris Allen Almost Has A Hit!

It's another quiet week on the Billboard Hot 100, where the highest debut is Lil Wayne and Eminem's "Drop The World" at #18.

Elsewhere, Kris Allen's "Live Like We're Dying"—one of Chart Rigger's lucky picks for Worst Singles Of 2009—crawls up from #32 to #30. Golly, this might end up being the slowest-moving sleeper jam from a former Idol contestant since Katharine McPhee's "Over It" charted at the stunning heights of #29 three years ago.

Meanwhile, it's now been a month since The Script debuted at #96 with "Breakeven," so let's check in and see how they're doing. Oh, there they are—all the way up to #84!

Over on the album chart, it's a sixth week at #1 for Susan Boyle, whose I Dreamed A Dream has now racked up sales of over 3 million copies in the states. I'm putting my ca$h on Ke$ha to knock that broad off her perch next week.

The U.S. Top 10:

1. "TiK ToK" - Kesha *3 weeks*
2. "Bad Romance" - Lady Gaga
3. "Replay" - Iyaz
4. "Empire State Of Mind" - Jay-Z feat. Alica Keys
5. "Fireflies" - Owl City
6. "Sexy Chick" - David Guetta feat. Akon
7. "Down" - Jay Sean feat. Lil Wayne
8. "Whatcha Say" - Jason DeRulo
9. "I Gotta Feeling" - The Black Eyed Peas
10. "Party In The U.S.A." - Miley Cyrus

Poor "Bad Romance". I was sure this would be Gaga's third No. 1, but it just couldn't get over the hump that is Ke$ha. "Romance" is now No. 1 on the Pop Chart though, her fifth consecutive. Still, it doesn't compare with going No. 1 on the Hot 100. Oh well.

I know you're not on board with him, but he is just soooo fantastic to look at. Mmmmmmmm.

LOVED the Mr Mig Edit of Katharine's Over It. That version deserved better than #29.

Live Like We're Dying is such a snooze. It doesn't deserve #30.
