Róisín Murphy's New Single 'Momma's Place' Sounds Like 1992 With A Hint Of 1993

Below is the clip for Róisín Murphy's upcoming single "Melrose Place"—oops, "Momma's Place." Sorry, there's something so early '90s about this jam, it has me thinking of Sydney, Amanda, Jane and the other broads scissoring in the apartment complex swimming pool.

"Momma's Place," in all its orchestra-hit-and-housey-piano-glory, sees an official single release in the U.K. on January 18.

I dare say, despite being a huge fan of "Let Me Know," I think this is the best jam Róisín has cranked out yet.

It sounds like she went shopping for Nu Shooz at the Company B store! Okay that was an awful metaphor but whatev, I'm lovin' this jam.

I always leaned more toward You Know Me Better rather than Let Me Know. This song though, i am really not feeling it at all. I hope the album has better tracks but i dont know because Orally Fixated wasnt that good either. Hopefully she worked with Richard X again because Pandora and Parallel Lives were fantastic.

Mama like! This is pretty effin' genius (and funny) but it'll hafta grow on me a lot to ever rank above Cry Baby and You Know Me Better. When will a new album be out!??
