The Closest I'll Ever Get To Making Out With Shayne Ward (+ His New Song "Crash")

So check this hot trash out... I won a box of Cadbury Heroes chocolates that was licked by Shayne Ward for a "caption this" contest on Facebook. (Thanks, Tell Him! My caption: "It'd be a real shayne to let these go to waste.")

And he even signed it. That effing box is going to sleeping in my bed with me for the next month or so. Oh, Shayne—it's like we're already in committed relationship and living together! Now you get to pay all my bills and spend lots of cash on me all the time! Yaaayyyy!

Anyway, below's a new song by Shanyne called "Crash"—supposedly produced by Stargate—that leaked this weekend. Compared to the upbeat stuff on his last album Breathless, it's a bit "safe."

Not bad for a ballad, though. UPDATE: After that one is another leaked track, "The Way You Are."

Here's "The Way You Are," which is a bit more up-tempo. This is the winner of the two in my book. If either of these end up on the third album, let's hope it's this d'luvvly jam.

Funny post - and great pictures! Yum at Shayne especially. Love 'The Way You Are'. Shayne needs lots of uptempos on the album though. Here's hoping.

TOO funny! Shayne better give you an interview when the next album comes out. This is an important moment in his eventual Stateside domination!

Shayne Ward is the kinda artist I have always wanted to hate because he traversed the X-Factor route and had a ballad-heavy first album which was propped up by no other factor than the X-factor. Which is why in 2007, I was shocked that "No U Hang up" became a guilty pleasure for me. I still love the song. I also like "Damaged" and "U Got Me So". Since then, Shayne Ward has been on my artist radar. "Crash" is a decent ballad but is far from earthshattering. I doubt it will ever become a guilty pleasure or a pleasure I can comfortably live without. I hope this is NOT the lead single from his new album.

Shayne remains my favourite ever x factor artist with same difference close behind. Neither of these tracks scream first single but both are quite nice. I think Crash is lovely...

Cool. Don't you love winning stuff? I just got an email that said I won the Party Rock Tour Sweepstakes and that I won merchandise from Shwayze, Paradiso Girls, Far East Movement, and Space Cowboy, as well as a pair of Beats by Dre headphones. But, the contest I entered was Lady Gaga's Fame Monster Sweepstakes and I was supposed to win Lady Gaga Beats headphones and Lady Gaga and related merchandise.

Both contests were put on by Interscope. It is just odd that they got them mixed up. Weird, huh?

Shaun, thanks! And I think we all know the answer to your question (sorry, Shayne)...

    rcLoy, don't be a hater!

Fritz, that's weird. But, definitely nice to win Shayne's licked box.

Paul, yeah, listened to both repeatedly today and they've grown on me.

Pranav, agreed. More like "Damaged" and "U Got Me So," please!

Moog, and by interview you mean lap dance...

Anonymous #2, thanks! I had "The Way You Are" on infinite repeat yesterday, myself.

Anonymous #1, thanks. And totally agree about the up-tempos. How else are we gonna get him to shake his booty?

Todd, I know, right?... I mean, thanks!

Love it! Shayne's so hot I'd be willing to overlook the idiotic way he spells his name.

It will not really have success, I feel this way.
