I Want To Like Hole's "Skinny Little Bitch," But There Just Ain't No Melody, Courtney Love

Courtney Love is offering up the first new Hole single in 12 years—"Skinny Little Bitch"—as a free download from the skeletal band's official site (today only). And absent from it is any discernible melody or magnetic hook. It's okay—just not great.

And here 'tis, curiosity seekers:

"Skinny Little Bitch" is rawkin' enough. But it's definitely no "Celebrity Skin" or "Boys On The Radio" or "Rock Star" or "Miss World" or...

Hole is now signed to Mercury/Island Def Jam, and new album Nobody's Daughter is due out April 27. Meanwhile, check out a horrifying close-up of Courtney over at XO's blog. Crazy ass broad.

I'm with you: it draw(l)s obvious comparison to Plump I guess, remember that middle eight like some sort of dizzy bullimic wake-up call or something. I still can't wait for the album though.

Yeah, I'll be checking it out, too...which is lucky for her after that abysmal mess she put out in '04.
