So, About Crystal Bowersox And Lee DeWyze Making It To The 'American Idol' Finale...

First of all, I called this shit about a month-and-a-half ago—not that it was hard to do during such a lackluster season. My money is on Lee DeWyze winning next week (i.e. the third year in a row a white dude with a guitar will be crowned the American Idol). That said, hopefully he does better than Kris Allen in the long run.

The real shocker was finding out that virtual unknown Travis Garland would be performing on tonight's episode. You may recall him from being a member of boy band NLT (along with Kevin McHale, who now plays wheelchair-bound Artie on Glee), who I blogged about back in 2007.

Below is Travis performing "Believe" on Idol. And tell me—who do you broads think is going to win Idol?

The Travis performance was kind of a trainwreck...the over-production, the three screen views, and his vocals got swallowed up in it. I am sure Perez's money was behind it, but maybe he should just stick to gossip than staging performances like that.

Paul, further to what John said, this and this might answer a question or two.

This may sound crazy, but I think Lee and Crystal should team up as a duo and record an album. America hasn't really had a decent male-female rock duo for a long long time.

But, sadly, it's so weird to see him walking :(
