'Ultimate' Pet Shop Boys To Contain New Song "Together"

First of all, I am appalled—APPALLED—that the only single off the magnificent Very to be featured on the upcoming Ultimate Pet Shop Boys collection is "Go West." But then again, with only 19 of their past hits included—and not all of them the obvious Top 10-charting choices (no "So Hard", "It's Alright", "Can You Forgive Her" or "You Only Tell Me You Love Me When You're Drunk")—what did you expect?

The good news is that a new song, "Together", will be included. Says the PSBs' official site, "The new song was written and produced with former Xenomania staff member Tim Powell and will also be released as a single. The release date will be announced shortly."

Xenomania, of course, produced the Boys' 2009 album Yes.

West End girls
It's a sin
What have I done to deserve this?
Always on my mind
Domino dancing
Left to my own devices
Being boring
Where the streets have no name (I can't take my eyes off you)
Go West
Se a vida é (That's the way life is)
New York City boy
Home and dry
I'm with stupid
Love etc.

It's the DVD that makes this all worth it, really, isn't it?

I'm quite pleased with a new single to be honest, but it's an odd collection. It will soon be time for me to go back to It Doesn't often snow 2009 anyway :)
