'Glee' Newbie Amps Up The Gayness (Like The Show Needed It) With "Teenage Dream"

If all goes according to the much-denied rumors out there, Kurt (Chris Colfer) will finally get some hot sausage this season on Glee, in the form of newcomer (ahem) Blaine (played by Darren Criss, above).

Tuesday's episode is called "Never Been Kissed," and in it Blaine fronts gay show choir Dalton Academy Warblers and dazzles Kurt with an a cappella rendition of Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream."

Let's just say it's better than Jedward.

I saw this earlier, love it. Never watched the show, but it's awesome such a high-profile one is so gay. And Blaine the hottie has a beautiful voice.

Ps. I'm sure you've heard it, but Kesha's "Cannibal" (song not album) leaked and it's fucking awesome.

You've never watched? It has its moments - both good and bad - but Kurt's storylines are usually pretty good.

Glee has been equally good and equally dreadful this season which is just about par for the show... just as i'm ready to give up it pulls me back in (as this episode threatens to do so)...

have to say their version of TD FLOORED me. Glad to see them mxiing it up instead of offering another xerox rendition of a pop hit with lea/cory's voice on it.

IMO though I think perchance Criss' character is a double-fake....not intended to be Kurt's BF, but confidant-type. Though I'll be the first one squealing if I'm wrong.

too bad, I didn't read this blog in time...
well, what they did with teenage dream is quite amazing! On the other hand, the way they presented it: really ridiculious. A all male choir dancing like tin-soldates in the background, just to make the new gay male sidekick for Kurt stand? well, sure created the intended effect but would've expected that storyline to be introduced more thoughtful and sensitive...

Now, given that Kurt is actually going to the Academy, I'm quite thrilled to see him being disappointed for being an outcast again, since conformism obviously is a key qualifikation there whereas he is hardcore non-conformist
