It's Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" Video

Alright, all you Madonna loons. Let's just get this out of the way right up front. There are absolutely no similarities between Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" and Madge's "Vogue" music videos...

...none at all.

I have to say, while I defended the song two-and-a-half weeks ago when it premiered, the Nick Knight/Haus Of Gaga co-directed video for "Born This Way" falls into the same trap the one for "Alejandro" did: dark, depressing and doesn't match the feel of the song at all.

What's with all her clips made for the gay community being these dreary, murky gloom fests, while sassy lady-anthem jams like "Telephone" get bright, eye-popping vids?

it's like a Star Wars themed Scientologie convention with a touch of Brave New World...
    absolutely Quark!

The homage to Hitchcock is suspicious. People have pointed out that she is a fan of Hitchcock films, but Universal owns the Vertigo theme that is used in the opening of the video -- and Anthony Hopkins is reported to be set to star in a new Hitchcock bio pic.

I think it could be advance PR for the new project, which has been written by the guy who wrote Black Swan. If Lady Gaga gets the role as the Janet Leigh character, we'll know I was right. She'd be perfect for the part, BTW.

Near the end, when she's dancing like a fool while that Skeleton-tatted guy just stands there, is also very reminscent of Vogue video when she's with Oliver Crumes (the blonde black guy)

I'm not sure how I feel about the video 100%, but I agree with you - too dark!

The video gives me the giggles. I guess I'm a sucker for a good vagina. Now there's a sentence I never thought I'd type...

Totally agree - Hitchcock and dreary. So sad - this video needs a bit phat flag with some drag queen action toot sweet!
