James Van Der Beek Whips Off His Bra In Ke$ha's "Blow" Video

Jesus, I travel for one day and Ke$ha has to go and release her video for "Blow," which features laughing unicorns, rainbow laser guns and cheesy (literally) dialogue and sexy flirtation between the New Queen Of Soul and James Van Der Beek. The classiest part is when he reaches into his shirt and rips off his black bra.

And just what is it about a campy video that can often make a highly mediocre song seem listenable? Major bonus for "James Van Der Douche."

P.S. still not understanding how this trash tune took six writers and four producers to get made.

Ah, see, I like "Blow." We lose out on hearing the middle eight--my favorite part--but the dialogue there is funny enough to forgive that. Maybe there's a bit too much standing around at a few points. Still, a great video made even better by being a nice surprise from someone whose videos I've never been much interested in.

    Ke-dollar sign-ha. Amazing.

Well, if the writers have as much presence, insight and creativity as Ke$sha does, then six seems like hardly any at all. (Something along the lines of "How many Ke$sha's does it take to actually write a song?")

Four producers were probably needed to make it actually sound decent enough to release.

I'll also be a nerd and correct myself... that should have been how many "Ke$has" and not with an apostrophe or the extra "s". I suppose it's karma for actually trying to write the dollar sign in her name. That or I should just read things over before I post them...

god it's a step up from when he was in Hallmark festive movie classic "Mrs Miracle". Oh god, i think i am still drunk from last night because i found him vaguely attractive for a second.

    NO!

i love the fact there it was odd, campy, and had a ton of humor. Something missing from Lady Gaga these days. Will Lady Gaga turn out to be the Cyndi Lauper and Ke$ha the Madonna.

I sheepishly admit I like this song a lot. And a little humor on K$'s part is welcome. At least the lyrics are not as cringe-worthy as on some her other songs (which I also liked btw.)

Searing comment about the parallels to Cyndi/Madonna. There are some similarities. Very interesting thought....
