I don't get why people like "on the floor" so much. I remember receiving the promo for it before its release. I thought it was tragically unremarkable and generic. Sampling Lambada may be the only saving grace of the song. Why are people not tired and bored of this shit already?

Has "Someone Like You" finally lost its highly prestigious chart status? It's a very great song, but sadly enough, you have to put time on success in the music industry.

In this same respect, however, one would think that "On The Floor" would drop from 1st on the chart. Even though it's only been on for 2 weeks in Britain, I must admit that I hear its droning chorus playing incredibly often on Radio 1.

I also notice the complete absence of a 1st week song in the top 40. Come on, we need more new music! ;)

I don't see the appeal of "On The Floor" - at all. Adele's "Someone Like You" is beautiful.

I'm so out of the loop - I only know how 3 of those songs go. I gave Adele's song a chance today watching her on a music channel, but I fail to understand what is so special about her. Can't believe J-Lo has not performed this song - I do love it.

"On the Floor" surprised me by making me like it after only two listens. Still, I get what everyone's saying about it being unremarkable -- it's about on par with the rest of her musical career.
