It's Matt Cardle's "Run For Your Life," Penned By Gary Barlow

Last year's UK X Factor winner Matt Cardle premiered his new single/music video "Run For Your Life" yesterday, just a few weeks ahead of the US version of The X Factor hitting the airwaves (it kicks off September 21).

The tune, penned by Take That frontman/new UK X Factor judge Gary Barlow (it all comes full X circle, doesn't it?), sounds like...well, basically a Take That album track — or, as we would charmingly say, "filler."

Clearly much of the cash for this project went to lining Gary Barlow's pocket, and not the video. But doesn't that red-headed broad look like Jessica from True Blood?

Oh, well — at least this trash is slightly less boring than "When We Collide."

And let's not forget previous X Factor Joe McElderry, who flopped at first and is having a comeback with that album of snoozy opera ballads.
