It's Rihanna & Calvin Harris' "We Found Love"

So we're back to the Rated R-ish artwork. Thoughts on the song in a bit...

Okay, here we go: Admittedly, at first I thought the lyrics to Rihanna and Calvin Harris' "We Found Love" — what little ones there seem to be — were cheap and throwaway. Then, after about 17 listens, it finally hit me! This song is kind of what we've been missing from Ri-boxx since about "Hate That I Love You" (except that "Hate That I Love You" sucks stripper box) — a happy, uplifting song, without sexual menace or innuendo or whips or tongues licking your hee-haw (translation: Britney Spears guest vocals).

"We found love in a hopeless place" might just be the best pop lyric of 2011, and I'm not just saying that because Rihanna sings it about 20 times (or more) in this hot trash.
