UK Chart Roundup: Example's Nero-Produced "Stay Awake" Is #1

Example's "Stay Awake" is now the sixth single to top the UK chart in the past six weeks. It's also the London rapper's second #1 this year, following "Changed The Way You Kissed Me," and the second chart-topper in the past month to produced by duo Nero (including their own "Promises").

Meanwhile, on the UK album chart, Lil Wayne's Tha Carter IV squeaks in at #8, while Red Hot Chili Peppers' tenth LP I'm With You bumps Will Young's Echoes off the top position. Here in the States, Tha Carter is expected to wind up with nearly 1 million copies sold out of the gate once the new Billboard Top 200 is published this week.

The UK Top 10:

1. "Stay Awake" - Example *new* *1 week*
2. "Moves Like Jagger" - Maroon 5 feat. Christina Aguilera
3. "Heart Skips A Beat" - Olly Murs/Rizzle Kicks
4. "You Need Me, I Don't Need You" - Ed Sheeran *new*

At first I figured Lady Gaga's You and I had reached number 1 in the UK, since I thought you were using a picture of her alter ego Joe Whathisface.
