Steps Do "Deeper Shade Of Blue" On 'Lorraine'

Following their Monday appearance on This Morning, Steps hit up UK morning show Lorraine today, where the five members sat for an interview and performed their 2000 hit "Deeper Shade Of Blue," off Steptacular.

They were asked the standard questions, such as why H and Claire decided to leave the band back in 2001. (Claire used the excuse again of "being tired", etc.) But what was interesting is that they said they're only trailing Evanescence by 800 copies for hitting #1 on Sunday's UK album chart with The Ultimate Collection.

Steps — Lorraine interview

I will note that, vocally, they sound pretty on-point during their performance, especially with the harmonies. The moves seem a tad clunky, however, and I'm starting to wonder if they shouldn't ditch the synchronized dancing altogether at this point and just present themselves as a mature vocal group — at least until the tour?

This just showcases how deeply untalented this bunch of turds really are. Awful awful awful.

They actually sound good. It's not rocket science, it's pop music.

When did this blog become Steps Rigger? I couldn't care less about some has-been British group from the 90s that no one's heard of. Every day there's like 3 or 4 new posts about these people. I'm pretty sure there are other things going on in the music world besides the steps reunion....

Sadly this wasn't Lorraine - she must have thought "not those losers" and pulled a sickie.

Claire looks a riot - she must have been up all night avoiding the fridge.

I'm really loving Faye's voice - it has definitely strengthened, probably due to her extensive panto and theatre credits.

Lee is still high on my to-do list. Or maybe that should be my get-done-by list.

Please don't listen to those haters, keep posting any Steps's related news. We need a bit of fun music nowadays...
At least we love your posts, unlike those haters...
