US Chart Roundup: Adele's '21' Is Now 4x Platinum

It's a relatively dull week on the Hot 100, as Adele's "Someone Like You" returns to #1 for a second non-consecutive week (following the song's video premiere), and thus bumps Maroon 5 and Christina Aguilera's "Moves Like Jagger" down to #2.

A round of applause should go to Rihanna and Calvin Harris for climbing seven rungs to #9 this week with "We Found Love." It's now Rihanna's 17th Top 10 hit in the US — her 20th if we count her features "Live Your Life," "Love The Way You Lie" and "Run This Town" — and Calvin's first. And so the pair break that dreaded #16 curse I talked about last week.

We might as well also check in with our weekly Dev and Alexandra Stan Watch: the former's "In The Dark" is up three positions to #14, while the latter also rises three, to #26, with "Mr. Saxobeat."

It's also worth noting that Adele's record industry-saving LP 21 (which is #3 on the Top 200 album chart) was certified quadruple-Platinum this week, while "Rolling In The Deep" is now five-times Platinum.

The U.S. Top 10:

1. "Someone Like You" - Adele *2 weeks*
2. "Moves Like Jagger" - Maroon 5 feat. Christina Aguilera
3. "Pumped Up Kicks" - Foster The People
4. "Stereo Hearts" - Gym Class Heroes feat. Adam Levine
5. "Party Rock Anthem" - LMFAO/Lauren Bennett/GoonRock
6. "Sexy And I Know It" - LMFAO
7. "Strange Clouds" - B.o.B feat. Lil Wayne *new*
8. "Without You" - David Guetta feat. Usher
9. "We Found Love" - Rihanna feat. Calvin Harris
10. "You Make Me Feel..." - Cobra Starship feat. Sabi

Continuing a #16 curse that isn't real or accurate. Kelly Clarkson debuted at #18. You created a "curse" out of two songs debuting at #16 - one that went down the next week and one that went up.
