US Chart Roundup: Rihanna Lands Her 11th #1 Single With "We Found Love"

Rihanna continues to assert herself as the modern day Queen Of Pop by racking up her 11th chart-topping single on the Hot 100 with "We Found Love". It's a milestone for RiRi, as she now passes up Stevie Wonder and Janet Jackson, who have 10 #1 singles each to their credit. She's now tied with Whitney Houston, who also has 11, and trails only The Beatles (20), Mariah Carey (18), Michael Jackson (13), Madonna (12) and The Supremes (12).

As a main artist, Rihanna's #1s are:

* "SOS" (2006)
* "Umbrella" (2007)
* "Take A Bow" (2008)
* "Disturbia" (2008)
* "Rude Boy" (2010)
* "Only Girl (In The World)" (2010)
* "What's My Name?" (2010)
* "S&M" (2011)
* "We Found Love" (2011)

She's also featured on these two chart-topping singles:

* "Live Your Life" - T.I. (2008)
* "Love The Way You Lie" - Eminem (2010)

A bit further down the chart, Rihanna's pair-up with Coldplay, "Princess Of China", debuts at #20.

Elsewhere, Kelly Clarkson scores her ninth Top 10 single as "Mr. Know It All" climbs up from #19 to #10 on the same week her album Stronger debuts at #2 on the Top 200 chart. (She was held at bay by Coldplay's third straight #1 album, Mylo Xyloto.) Her "What Doesn't Kill You (Stronger)" enters the Hot 100 at #64.

Katy Perry's "The One That Got Away" cracks the Top 40 this week by moving up to #34. Beyonce's "Party" scrounges its way to #57 following the premiere of the video last week, while Britney Spears' "Criminal" is up to #59.

On a final note, Florence + The Machine's "Shake It Out" makes its grand entrance at #86.

The U.S. Top 10:

1. "We Found Love" - Rihanna feat. Calvin Harris *1 week*

    Who knows? It's only taken R 5 years to amass 11 #1s. Maybe overtaking the Beatles is a possibility.

    But she's not the queen of albums let's face it. She's still the most likeable out of the pretenders.

    wpmsd, history shows that pop divas have a shelf-life as far as #1s. At the accelerated rate RiRi is going at, she might cool off soon. But, as you said, who knows?

    Diva Incarnate, true that.
