UK Chart Roundup: Military Wives Are #1
Basically, a bunch of people tried to pull a bunch of shit to get various songs to the #1 position for Christmas in the UK, hence "Dominick The Donkey" going in at #3 and the reappearance of Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit" at #11. Alas, the winner is Paul Mealor and Gareth Malone's "Wherever You Are," as performed by the Military Wives choir, which debuts at #1 and knocks ho brigade Little Mix down to #2. The single sold 556,000 copies over the past week. Go suck it, X Factor.
The final UK album chart of the year has Michael Buble's Christmas at #1, just like here in the States.
