UK Chart Roundup: Military Wives Are #1

Basically, a bunch of people tried to pull a bunch of shit to get various songs to the #1 position for Christmas in the UK, hence "Dominick The Donkey" going in at #3 and the reappearance of Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit" at #11. Alas, the winner is Paul Mealor and Gareth Malone's "Wherever You Are," as performed by the Military Wives choir, which debuts at #1 and knocks ho brigade Little Mix down to #2. The single sold 556,000 copies over the past week. Go suck it, X Factor.

The final UK album chart of the year has Michael Buble's Christmas at #1, just like here in the States.

The UK Top 10:

1. "Wherever You Are" - Military Wives *new* *1 week*
2. "Cannonball" - Little Mix
3. "Dominick The Donkey" - Lou Monte *new*
4. "Forever Yours" - Alex Day *new*
5. "Paradise" - Coldplay
6. "Dance With Me Tonight" - Olly Murs
7. "Good Feeling" - Flo Rida
