Saint Etienne Announce Album 'Words And Music', Preview Single "I've Got Your Music"

Hoo-ray! After a way-too-long dry spell with regards to new music from Saint Etienne, the UK trio have announced their follow-up to 2005 album Tales From Turnpike Place via a Christmas greeting on their official site.

The band has been working with Richard X and Nick Coler on eighth (and final?) album Words And Music By Saint Etienne, which will be preceded by the single "I've Got Your Music" (out in February, says Sarah Cracknell)!

Listen to a short clip of the upbeat pop jam via the link above. Sounds like it's in the same vein as their 2009 single "Method Of Modern Love" — which is a good thing!

This song actually sounds a LOT like "Method Of Modern Love' - and that is undoubtedly a good thing. I didn't realize these guys were working on new material. As long as Richard X is producing their material, I think there is a LOT to look forward to. The fact that this is being sold under the Universal UK imprint is also quite a commercial for the song's mainstream viability.
