US Chart Roundup: LMFAO Suck, But At Least There's "Love You Like A Love Song"

Wow. It finally happened. LMFAO got their latest mindless piece of trash, "Sexy And I Know It," to #1 after being stuck behind Rihanna's "We Found Love" for seven weeks.

Technically the dynamic, dumbed-down duo now have the first chart-topping single of 2012 on the Hot 100, since Billboard has the new charts dated January 7. How have they not gone the way of Right Said Fred yet?

Oh, well — at least it's nice to see Adele landing her third Top 10 hit with "Set Fire To The Rain" (#7). That was always my favorite track off 21. Now we just need for it to become as overplayed as "Rolling In The Deep" and "Someone Like You," and we'll be set!

I guess this is probably a good time to warn everyone that Selena Gomez's "Love You Like A Love Song" (#27) is totally my new jam. (You know — six months after the fact.) This happened nearly two years ago with "Naturally," and I really feel like this is that little hooker's first great single since then.

Alright, I'm still in vacation mode, so I'm out.

The U.S. Top 10:

1. "Sexy And I Know It" - LMFAO *1 week*
2. "We Found Love" - Rihanna feat. Calvin Harris
3. "The One That Got Away" - Katy Perry
4. "It Will Rain" - Bruno Mars
5. "Ni**as In Paris" - Jay-Z & Kanye West
6. "Good Feeling" - Flo Rida
7. "Set Fire To The Rain" - Adele
8. "Someone Like You" - Adele
9. "Party Rock Anthem" - LMFAO feat. Lauren Bennett & GoonRock
10. "Dance (A$$)" - Big Sean feat. Nicki Minaj
