US Chart Roundup: Rihanna, Katy Perry, Lily Allen & ...Take That?...Have A Good Week

Rihanna manages a seventh week at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with "We Found Love," tying her with Adele's "Rolling In The Deep" for the most weeks at the top in 2011 and tying RiRi's own personal record amount of time spent atop the chart with a single. (She previously had seven-week stints with both "Umbrella" in 2007 and Eminem's "Love The Way You Lie" in 2010.)

But as for RiRi's Talk That Talk, well, that flops out of the Top 10 on the album chart after only two weeks. It's down five positions to #12.

Calvin Harris, who essentially crafted "We Found Love," isn't the only UK artist with a featured credit in the Top 10 this week. Lily Allen sneaks in at #10 as part of T-Pain's "5 O'Clock," which not only is built around a sample of Allen's 2009 jam "Who'd Have Known," it also gives the five members of Take That a writing credit on a US Top 10 single, as "Who'd Have Known" knicks its melody from the British man band's 2007 UK hit "Shine." So, basically, this is Gary Barlow's first credit on an American Top 10 hit since 1995's "Back For Good."

Meanwhile, Katy Perry's scam of slashing the iTunes price of "The One That Got Away" down to 69 cents (appropriate number, eh?) is working, as this week the song jumps up to #4, thus making Teenage Dream only the third album ever to produce six Top 5 hits (the other's being George Michael's Faith and Janet Jackson's Rhythm Nation 1814).

Elsewhere, nutso blog The Lady Gaga Project has its work cut out for it, as Mother Monster's fifth Born This Way single "Marry The Night" creaks up a mere three positions to #29. This gives Gaga a 12th consecutive Top 30 hit, but it's looking more and more like this single will be her first to miss the Top 10.

On a final note, 10 Worst Singles Of 2011 honoree Jessie J moves up to #38 with her Dr. Luke jam "Domino" — which essentially sounds like a Katy Perry leftover, albeit a decent one — and she now has a second US Top 40 single up her skirt.
