2012 BRIT Awards: The Nominees
Hmmmm. Not the most exciting year for nominees, though there are a few gems — Lana Del Rey for International Breakthrough Act, Emeli Sande for British Breakthrough Act (she's also the previously-announced recipient of this year's Critics' Choice Award) and...uh...well, that's about it.
Performers announced today for the February 21 ceremony, to be held at London's 02 Arena, include Adele, Bruno Mars, Coldplay, Ed Sheeran (who has the most nominations — four), Florence + The Machine, Noel Gallagher and Rihanna.
Has the BRITs finally become as snoozy as the its American counterpart'?

Don't they just nominate Bjork in that category every year (not that I'm complaining). Good on them for recognizing the boys from Blur, though...not a day goes by that I don't spin at least a couple Blur tunes! Also, Damon is kind of a hottie...always has been...a brat, but a hottie...

I am so ashamed to say I have no Will Young and I am getting pounded on all sides by his worshippers so I guess it is time to get on board!

Will Young put out one of my three favorite pop albums of 2011, so I agree that it sucks he was overlooked. And yet, Jessie J gets lauded with nominations...?!?
