Scissor Sisters Unveil "Shady Love" Video, Shine A Light On Azealia Banks

I like Scissor Sisters. But they had a slight (or maybe not so) problem with last album Night Work where, for having taken four years to release a new record, their sound hadn't really changed all that much. And after teasing in early 2010 with the astounding buzz jam "Invisible Light," the lead single wound up being the lackluster "Fire With Fire."

Well, switching up their sound is no longer an issue. The Scissters have offered up the clubby and hip hop(!!)-leaning "Shady Love" as the first taste off album #4. The track's chorus sounds similar to that of Kelis' "Milkshake" — which is interesting, given that "Shady" Love" is produced by Boyz Noise, who worked on Kelis' last album, Flesh Tone (not to mention remixed said SS tune "Invisible Light").

"Shady Love" also features up and coming NYC rapstress Azealia Banks, who, along with Lana Del Rey and a dozen other broads, is set to "break out in 2012."

Meanwhile, Jake Shears own rapping here has him sounding like a cross between Eminem and Cazwell. Odd — but enjoyable! Bring on the album.
