US Chart Roundup: The Wanted Crack The Top 40 With "Glad You Came"

With Adele holding up the top position on the Billboard Hot 100 for a second week with "Set Fire To The Rain," another UK act, The Wanted, bring up the rear (ahem) of the Top 40 with their debut US single "Glad You Came" (at #40).

Previously, The Wanted, a group comprised of hot piece Max George and those four other guys who aren't Max George, topped the UK chart with "Glad You Came" last summer. Here in the States, they debuted the song with a live performance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show last month.

The reason The Wanted have broken through, while other boy bands such as wretched flops Westlife crashed and burned in America, is because they have demonstrated that they have a solid air of credibility surrounding them.

For instance, here's Max buck naked in a 2008 issue of British gay mag AXM:

A stunning talent! The band's longevity in the States has been aided by the fact that they're currently on a 10-city tour. I caught them live the other night and... oh, have you seen this pic, by the way?

Aw, now here's a nice one:

Wait — who the fuck is this broad?!?

Much better:

Anyway, uh — what were we talking about again?
