Shady Lady Gaga Releases "Applause" A Week Early (Sorry, Katy Perry)

Not content to let Katy Perry have her week in the sun with new Sara Bareilles rip-off song "Roar," Lady Gaga cited leaks of snippets of "Applause" for the reason she pulled the trigger a week early on the single's release.

Good! "Applause" kicks "Roar" in the tiger pussy anyway, with all its Bowie-esque flourishes and irresistible hooks. It's so nice to hear Gaga ditching the awkward Born This Way posturing and getting back to Fame Monster amazingness.

One of these broads is going to finally knock "Blurred Lines" off the top of the Hot 100, and my money is on Gaga.

Too bad for her Roar is still number 1 iTunes single on almost all major markets. People hate Lady Gaga now. Her chronicle of 10+minute long videos, outrageous in your face fashion, offensive kicks at religion and most importantly relentless boring preaching have basically killed her appeal to the public. All that left a bad taste in their mouth that wouldn't leave anytime soon. Applause is superior to Roar in my opinion. The song doesn't sound like a dead cat being resurrected again and again. But still, even if Lady Gaga can pull off a Bad Romance now she can never get back to where she was.
I actually feel bad for her, seeing how desperate she was crying out to Little Monsters to buy her single. It must feel really humiliating losing to Katy Perry. But I guess it's all karma since it used to be normal for Little Monsters to joke about Katy's Grammy and how she was not worth being Gaga's competition.
